The HyperSpin 2 early access beta is here!

We’re starting the first public testing phase with Platinum Members to keep the scope manageable while we test the current feature set and begin to add more. In the future, we’ll provide a version for basic members as well.  On behalf of the entire HyperSpin team, we look forward to another exciting adventure with our community.

Hello first off i would like to thank the team at HS and the community for all the hard work they put into this project/system.

So I have HS and ePSXe running great when using the keyboard but when i implement xpadder to navigate HS and switch xpadder profiles it gives my and

AutoProfile Error. My set up steps i have taken:

1. set up Xpadder profile for HS in HSHQ. which works fine if xpadder has defaulted to that HS profile

2. set up Xpadder profile for ePSXe in HSHQ

Well my question is how do i get HS or HL? to load, reload my default xpadder profiles.

Also I'm happy to change to implement AHK or JoytoKey, what ever is more functional.

I appreciation comments

Thank you.

You have to use a 3rd party program called HyperSpin Startup Script to get Xpadder to navigate through the HyperSpin FE. Previous versions of this script required the use of an external keymapper like Xpadder but the latest version (1.06) has joystick functionality built in to allow you to navigate the HyperSpin FE without the need for a keymapper. Two things:

1. Don't map any functions to your Xpadder profile for your emulator. Simply leave it blank and use the emulator's input mappings.

2. Skip Xpadder setup entirely and enable joystick functionality in the HyperSpin Startup Script so you don't have to deal with the headaches of Xpadder setup.

Good discussion about the HyperSpin Startup Script here if you need more help.

Thanks for the reply. I took your advice and dropped xpadder from my setup tested HS with the KB and emulators on PAD, works great. setup the Start up Script in HSHQ and the script drops off my keyboard and the volume button can only to selected but I can use the DPad and Sticks to decrease, increase volume.

I should of mentioned I'm using a PS3 controller with SCP DS3 setup which shouldn't really make any difference.

So where do I go from here?

Double click the HyperSpin Startup Script so it creates an ini file. Open the ini file, set this line in the ini file from 'Joysticks_Enabled=False' to 'Joysticks_Enabled=True', and save the file. Now you should have joystick navigation in HyperSpin.

Check that thread if you need more info.
