Zinc vs MAME

Don't really know if this is the right thread to post this question but as it is not directly HyperSpin related, I thought it may work better here.

I set up Zinc yesterday to work with HyperSpin (haven't done it yet with MAME) and after getting it to work, I started with the game Aquarush. While still playable, it has numerous graphical (color) glitches.

I saw on some videos that MAME seems to reproduce this game much better, without those glitches.

I was wondering if MAME can now reproduce all Zinc games better or if there are some that still work better with Zinc.

I tried to look for a site with that information but couldn't find anything.

As MAME is an ongoing WIP, but Zinc seems to be no longer a project that is worked on, I wouldn't be surprised if the former can substitute the latter completely, thus making its use redundant.

In case there are some games that work better on one or the other, I would like to know from your experience which ones are those, so that I can divide them between the two emulators. Any help or opinion would be greatly appreciated.

Of course after I have set up MAME I will also experiment by myself and let you know my results, but that may really take a while.

Hey crane Glad you got it working in hyperspin since im having a hell of a time with it lol. During my research into why I cant get it working I keep coming across people suggesting to use the psxmame emulator. Apparently it is better as to the video quality of most games. I can not vouch for it personally as when I run them outside hyperspin in either emulator I don't notice a difference but I do think you were spot on above. Hope it helps you a bit and good luck with it.
