Spinner / racing issues

I picked up a TurboTwist 2 a while back (with the 7" mini-wheel) with the expectation that I could use it on racing games. However, as the wheel appears as a mouse I've found that that quite a few of the racing games I've got just don't work. I can control them fine with the joystick if I configure it that way, but that's not what I had in mind.

Also, for some of the driving games that *do* work with the spinner I have found that the wheel is usually way too sensitive. What sensitivity levels have people found is useful for driving games?

I use Turbo Twist spinners for my driving games in MAME and Model 3 , for some reason the model 2 emulator can't seem to use it. There is an analog sensitivity setting in MAME, you'll have to play with this setting game to game to get the feel you're looking for. Also remember to adjust your mouse settings in windows, most importantly turn off mouse acceleration.

Thanks for the info about the acceleration, I'll take a look. Most of my problems are outside of Mame - games like Burnout Paradise (I know, it's old but I love the crashes!) The spinner just flat-out doesn't work for turning left and right! I wish there was a way to, but I've yet to find it :(

Thanks for paying attention to this post, btw. It was getting pretty low on the list!

Hello, I found this : http://www.makeuseof.com/tag/turn-your-mouse-into-a-joystick-for-pc-gaming/

I did'nt read everything, but it allows you to transform your mouse into a joystick ! So, for the spinner it's good :)

I have the same spinner (Turbo Twist 2), two even, but I have'nt play with it, my cab' is still under construction :D

Thanks for the insight! I'll take a look and report back once a) I've gotten it working, or B) when I've been reduced to tears and a bucketful of expletives!
