Transition in subwheel for each system

Hello,

I Just finished my setup for hyperspin and polishing it with some transition.

I see that transitions in main menu media folder named by system will dictate a specific transition to each system and thats fine.

I would like to put a specfic transition (smoke for instance) when entering a sub wheel.

Kind of putting a specific flv to the default.zip theme so that when you entering a sub wheel it plays, then you select you game, etc. But it only plays once you enter the subwheel for a specfic system.

Thank you

Can't advise you further, but any solution will probably begin with Hyperspin EDS in 3rd Party Apps of this forum. Hyperspin doesn't trigger an event by browsing the wheel, but only after you select an option.

EDS monitors Hyperspin and triggers other options as you browse (before and after selection of wheel options). Don't know if EDS on its own will start an flv, but HS member sevenseal has posted a video of what you are describing using EDS and Hypermarquee, in the Hypermarquee threads. Of course his is on a second monitor, but there should be a workaround. Plays flv, mp4s, png, duplication of themes, even creates backgrounds on the fly with shaders, fonts, and brush options built into the program.

Both of these programs were created by the same person- Antos. They seem brilliant and I also hope to make use of them someday. But I am a procrastinator. Intentions-good, follow through-not so much, most days anyway. But someday....

--Add on suggestion after rereading your question- You mention the transitions folder in Media\Main Menu\Video. Their is also an override transitions folder in each system folder \Video. Maybe naming a flv to a specific game will trigger it prior to selection. I don't think many of us would consider this due to slowing the process of browsing waiting for a transition for each game, followed by the theme loading time, but this might work. Out of curiosity, if it does let us know.
