:afraid:

looking for a way to remove or add games from my hyperspin setup..

nes

sega..

and so forth..

You can remove them from your xml lists in hyperspin\database\system name\system name.xml, which I wouldn't recommend, or you can comment them out by surrounding the whole game entry with <!-- [game entry here] -->

I will not be installing all games just several from each console emulator..

is there a PDF or video showing this modification?

thanks for your help.

The easier way is to set up the ROM path and extension in HyperHQ then use the ROMs Only filter to display only the games you have put in the relevant folder for each emulator.

thanks agrajag, I had to read that 10 times to comprehend it. but yes that is a logical approach.

update - works for me I generate a game list.txt copy the labels within the .txt

rename my roms.zip with correct label from .txt

just didn't know where I needed to go to add roms to the game list being generated from.

if that makes any sense?

Your "game list" the one you see when you open for example the snes wheel in hyperspin is read from an xml file located in your hyperspin/database/super nintendo entertainment system folder.

Certain members of the hyperspin community go to great lengths to generate an accurate "official" xml for each system, which essentially means that if you use the official hyperspin xml, you're going to be looking at a full list of games already. (SNES is a system that is packaged with the original hyperspin installation and therefore this is most likely the xml you're using - the official one)

So, you should learn a little about xml if you want to add or remove games from you list......but this is sort of frowned upon as "mint" lists are ideal and if you change your mind later on, you want the already perfect xml. So, most people will tell you not to edit it directly.

If you don't want to edit the xml directly by adding or deleting games there, what else can you do if you don't want certain games to show up on your wheel?

There's a few ways, and all of them are accessed via HyperHQ:

So, open HyperHQ and find your snes wheel.

As stated above, if you tick off "Rom Only" Hyperspin will scan your rom folder and only show roms that exist there on the wheel.

OR

You can click "Wheel Only" and Hyperspin will only show entries if you have a wheel art picture. (This is the easiest way, in my opinion, to control what shows up on your wheel) If you have a wheel set, and you have this enabled, you can add or remove games simply by adding or deleting the wheel art image in hyperspin/media/super nintendo entertainment system/ images/ wheel folder.

well I didn't mean to offend anyone by mentioning modifying the list.... I backup the .xml or .ini before any modification!

I just run mame and the roms I have witch is not complete. would it be safe to say I can use don's hyper tools to preform this?

and what is with the HS Startup.exe file I try to download and it saves as (attachment.php) do I rename this or is something wrong on my end?

DIE HARD ARCADE CAB 35" tv via s-video. will post pics soon.
