CNC Capability - Cheap Manufacturing Option for Hyperspinners

Hi Ya Folks,

Its been a while since I posted in the cab forum, been busy with stuff and perfecting my touchscreen cab (still playing with spotify)..

Anyway I have ordered a newtoy in the form of a cnc router for my garage, its not massive (allows 600*900 workpieces) but will allow bartop creation OR maybe even full standing units if the design is in 2 pieces I guess.

So my first project for it is a micro bartop based on a raspberry pi solution (so no unfortunately wont run hyperspin), vid included of my first shot at the program. My design allows for a fully assembled outer skin which then allows for the inner sections to slot in containing pi and vid driver board...Well thats the plan anyway... I'll keep you all informed how it goes.

Reason primarily for the post is that I will happily offer this cutting service to any fellow members at discounted rates (once i'm all setup) and as I'm a cnc programmer by trade cad design & cnc programming (obviously) also on offer.

So this is a note to say if anyone has any ideas in the new year for "stuff" once I'm setup (circa end Jan) I'd more than happily assist in any solutions......(design, program & cut).....

Hi, I may well take you up on this some time next year, thanks! I reckon I'm handy enough to build a bartop from scratch, but the prospect of at least getting the control panel cnc cut is very appealing.

My biggest problem is actually making up my mind about the shape and size of cab I want to build...

No problem jus give me a shout, I'll post on here when i'm ready.

I know what you mean about designs on shape etc, I am toying with adding some scanning work to my minicab design, i.e hulks face and hands 3d scanned into the surface on the panels somewhere....I will definately try this at some point as I think it would make a very unique feature on any cab. I need to get good quality 3d models for this so, so i'm currently on the net scour for such models. As my kids are very my avenger fans the current preference from them is hulk and iron man, but this could also just simply be scanned or engraved letters, etc etc.... ooooo the options..... My only thought on a scanned surface though i.e hulks face is then what to do with it? Paint it? Anyway its worth an attempt and quite easy to program once tooled up..
