RetroGamerForever Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Accidentally posted my question in the "HyperSync Support" area, meant to post it here yesterday. My question is: Just as the title states, the (D) Drive is missing in the Disk Management section, but shows when I click "This PC". I am using Windows 8.1 btw. Any ideas, or recommendations on how to fix this? I've even tried "Minitool Power Data Recovery". I need it in order to use Hyperspin from my external dive, or is there an alternative way to install it via the external drive? Is it possible to copy hyperspin to another drive other than D since it is missing? I only want to play from the external drive, not copy it to my hdd drive. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
Fromlostdays Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 Pardon me misunderstanding you, but do you mean that you can click it using MY PC but its not in disk management? If so, what's the problem? Just use it, unless you wanted to set up a partition. You can put Hyperspin on any drive you want. You just have to change a few paths. Walter:beerglass:
RetroGamerForever Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 I did these exact steps: 1. Control Panel 2. Administrative Tools 3. Computer Management 4. Disk Management Found all drives except (D), so i took the G drive, and changed that to "A", then changed the Hyperspin Drive to "G", installed all of the steps just now, but when i try to launch games I am now getting this error "Can't find Hyperlaunch.exe" Any ideas on what i'm doing wrong? Hopefully I am explaining this right. When I click "My PC" the (d) drive shows as "CD-Rom (D)", but when i got to disk management all drives show except D. I figured in order to use hyperspin from an external drive we had to change the drive to (D) for hyperspin, since D is no longer showing i used "G" instead, now i'm stuck on the "can't find hyperlaunch".
Fromlostdays Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Oh... okay. Well whatevs. You have to open HyperlaunchHQ and point it to your hypserpin.exe to get rid of that error. Walter:beerglass:
RetroGamerForever Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Yep, went through all of the steps, and had it running on Day 1, but the next day my (D) Drive randomly disappeared, so I had to reset everything on Drive (G), except when i try to play games the hyperlaunch error appears, so I went to hyperlaunchhq, but it won't launch because it states that it can't find the D drive i previously installed everything on. I'm guessing maybe it was a virus, or maybe i accidentally deleted it, so I'm going to have to factory reset the computer, and see if the D Drive reappears in the Disk management section.
