Dunk3000 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Hi all, Apologies for asking for help so soon after joining, but I have followed the install guide thoroughly and cannot see where I am going wrong so hope someone can help me please? When running HyperLaunchHQ the only system showing is GLOBAL - even if I try to manually add a new one. After looking around the program, it seems to be because hyperlaunch is looking for a systems.ini file in this location: Hyperspin\HyperLaunch\HyperLaunchHQ\Databases\Systems.xml However, this location was synchronised using GIT and the only file inside that folder is a placeholder. The install guide made no mention of creating or downloading a systems.xml file, so either I am missing something really simple or the systems.xml file is missing from the server I synchronised with. If it's the former, then please could someone put me out of my misery and accept my apologies? And if it's the latter, well I wanted to make sure it was highlighted so no one else gets confused like I did. Thanks
SKiZO Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Exactly the same with me!!! First install ever, I tried for about 7 hours yesterday, i thought it was just me. Went through the various guides and youtube video over and over. Tried 2 systems, both Windows 8.1. I'm just running up a few VMs with XP and Win7 to see if it makes a difference. Will check back later and update how I go on. I'll post the logs when I can. My world changed 27/12/2014 when I discovered HyperSpin! SKiZO Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Also, HyperLaunchHQ v1.1.1.0 never asks for the path on first run as mentioned in step 18 of GHutch's guide. SKiZO Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Yep that was it! DUNK, in short, you need to go to the HyperLaunchHQ tab and add a new item for HyperSpin as your default FrontEnd. It will then read the correct XML from the Hyperspin\Databases folder. How about a link for the beta versions on Ghutch's install guide seeing as it's the first thing people will see when they search? Many thanks, and I think I can safely say there goes the rest of my holidays My world changed 27/12/2014 when I discovered HyperSpin! Dunk3000 Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 Awesome, that's me up and running too! Thanks so much Jeremy and Skizo
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Heres a start to finish tut if you get stuck. But I hope that you got this sorted. Maybe someone should update the Guide by Ghutch? Simply Austin's YouTube
