shitoken Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Hope someone can guide me, I am totally new and working hard on this project whenever I have spare time. I have installed MAME 0.157b emulator in following directories H:Hyperspin/Emulator/Mame H:Hyperspin/Emulator/SNK Neo Geo H:Hyperspin/Emulator/Nintendo Famicom H: Games/Mame/ H: Games/SNK Neo Geo/ and so on I have also setup MAME as default for MAME/SNK Neo Geo/Nintendo Famicom Now I have problems when launching MAME from Hyperspin or via Hyperlaunch to test game . MAME pops up but with Loading on screen..... and nothing happens neither can exit. Am I doing something wrong or missed something? I think Mame games does not need bios & will old roms will support the latest Mame ver please correct me if I am wrong? I have placed neogeo.zip/universe bios in the directory of H: Games/SNK Neo Geo/ to run neo games but problem as Mame. Hope someone can help me Thanks to all
shitoken Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Do you mean I should installed one mame is enough for all supporting systems? But each system dont we need to create emulator folder inside and place one emulator inside and than point the to neogeo emulator? Sorry I am confuse here. About nintendo I remember one of the system from global emulator support it so I selected Mame.

Sorry I am confuse here. About nintendo I remember one of the system from global emulator support it so I selected Mame. You only need to have MAME in one folder. You can point your other systems to use the same MAME in HyperLaunchHQ under the Emulators tab for each system so you aren't copying files around. When you went into Global in HyperLaunchHQ -> Emulators tab, and set the path for MAME, you are setting it across all systems. So if you go into Neo Geo for example, and choose the MAME as the emulator. It will be to the same path that you set under Global in HyperLaunchHQ -> Emulators Tab. There isn't a folder structure you need to follow for it to work, its just for organizational purposes.
shitoken Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Thanks dear I didnt thought of this. That means I can create one emulator folder and put every thing inside and link it with all systems support mame right? If emulator folder I created under different name than systems , xml and themes will this cause any prob to load the correct themes? But I would like to know why mame do nothing but just loading.
jspence3 Posted January 11, 2015 Posted January 11, 2015 Correct. It doesn't matter the location of where you created the folder for your emulators since you will be setting the path in HyperLaunchHQ. Do the games work in MAME outside of HyperLaunchHQ?
shitoken Posted January 11, 2015 Author Posted January 11, 2015 Some can some cannot. some pop up with selected rom require one or more rom or CHD images. what does it mean bro? Dons tool unable to rename Mame roms , I am trying to use clrmamepro to do the job but still figuring out how to rename after scan finished. Correct. It doesn't matter the location of where you created the folder for your emulators since you will be setting the path in HyperLaunchHQ. Do the games work in MAME outside of HyperLaunchHQ?
