Problems with Smart Powerboard

Hey guys, I posted a while back that I wanted to be able to turn my monitor on with my computer, here is the thread:

http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/7695-how-to-make-monitor-turn-on-with-computer/

I have my pc plugged into the master and my marquee light and monitor plugged into the slaves. When I turn my pc on, the marquee light comes on every single time the pc starts, the monitor barly ever turns on. I can sometimes unplug the monitor from the powerboard and plug it back in, turn the pc off and on and things like that and it sometimes works. Does anyone know what else I could do, apart from buying another powerboard? If it was the powerboard, wouldnt the marquee light not be working either? I have tried switching the marquee light with the monitor on the board to eliminate a faulty port but there is no difference, light still works, monitor dosen't.

Thanks -Mike

I was afraid of that but it's brand new and everything else works that I plug into it. I thought maybe it was the monitor but it works and is also brand new. I will just have to fork out for another powerboard and test it i guess. Thanks for the reply.

if its brand new there should be a warranty, no?  I used to use "smart strip" ones but they are on the bulky side and I have had 2/5 failures.

Lately for bartops and tight projects I like this one:

And full size cabs I have been using this which is skinnier than the "smart strip":

Happy with both so far.
