  1. I was afraid of that but it's brand new and everything else works that I plug into it. I thought maybe it was the monitor but it works and is also brand new. I will just have to fork out for another powerboard and test it i guess. Thanks for the reply.
  2. Hey guys, I posted a while back that I wanted to be able to turn my monitor on with my computer, here is the thread: http://www.hyperspin-fe.com/topic/7695-how-to-make-monitor-turn-on-with-computer/ I have my pc plugged into the master and my marquee light and monitor plugged into the slaves. When I turn my pc on, the marquee light comes on every single time the pc starts, the monitor barly ever turns on. I can sometimes unplug the monitor from the powerboard and plug it back in, turn the pc off and on and things like that and it sometimes works. Does anyone know what else I could do, apart from buying another powerboard? If it was the powerboard, wouldnt the marquee light not be working either? I have tried switching the marquee light with the monitor on the board to eliminate a faulty port but there is no difference, light still works, monitor dosen't. Thanks -Mike
  3. I turned the machine off completley and unplugged everything for about a minute and now its working fine. Thanks for the quick replys.
  4. I do have a smart strip and it worked the first time but now that I have reset the machine the monitor wont turn back on with the marquee light. I have reset the computer multiple times and unpluged just the monitor and plugged it back into the slave port to no avail. The only reason this is a bit more of a problem then it should be, is that I have built my cab and fully enclosed the moniror so the monitor buttons are covered. I could get to the buttons if I really really needed to but It's going to be a huge pain in the arse.
  5. Hey guys, I want to know if its possible for you to set up your computer to turn your monitor on when you turn the computer on. I am not sure if it is monitor specific or a setting in windows or something maybe? Thanks -Mike
  6. I will have a look into the timing method because it seems thats about the only way to go, thanks for everyones input.
  7. The arcade machine I am building is only for personal use, it will just be in my living room. I was asking weather you could set hyperspin up so the other emulators can take a coin before being able to play the game like MAME because I have 3 little kids who will be primarily using the machine and I wanted to make a kind of incentive for them to clean their room and all that fun stuff and get coins for the arcade machine in return. I have done a bit of research and I cant find anything that is going to work but it would be a good idea if the hyperspin guys could implement it in a future version of hyperspin.
  8. Hey guys, I am currently building a hyperspin arcade machine that will be running MAME, NES, SNES, Sega, and a few other emulators. I was just wondering if anyone knows if you are able to make any emulators (other then MAME) require a coin to be able to play? I want to eventually put a real coin mech in my machine but at the moment I will only be putting a dedicated coin button. Thanks -Mike
  9. No worries then, thanks for the quick reply
  10. Hey guys, I have a quick question. I am wiring a 4 player control panel for my home built arcade machine and I have bought a pre crimped set of wires. The ground wires came pre daisy chained which was awesome, but I started on the left most player (Player order: 4,1,2,3) and got to finishing up player 1 only to notice that the daisy chain crimp next on the line wouldnt reach over to the player 2 slot. The next crimp on the chain fits but the one before it will be hanging. I just wanted to know if thats cool or not? I could tape it to the control panel so it dosent hit anything else, or would it not work at all if its not connected to something? Thanks -Mike
  11. Thanks for the replys guys, I ended up getting BlueMSX and it works just great now. I also tried putting the BIOS in a zip file named coleco.zip in my colecovision roms directory to no avail, I then put it in the mess rom directory with no luck so I am still unsure what the problem was but it's working flawlessley with BlueMSX.
  12. Hey guys, I have been having some trouble getting Colecovision working along with MESS. I am pretty sure it has something to do with the BIOS. I have MESS 0.155 along with the MESS64UI Front End. I am auditing 139/140 through HyperLaunchHQ, but when i try and load any game, I get this message: "313 10031-4005 73108a.u2 NOT FOUND (tried in coleco coleco)" and then anoither message that reads: "FATALERROR: Required files are missing, the system cannot be run." The set of roms I have, has the BIOS in a zip file in the Colecovision roms folder. Does it need to be in a different folder? Where does MESS check BIOS files at? My current Hyperspin setup is C:/Hyperspin and the roms are in C:/Roms. I havent had any troubles setting up any other system with this setup. Any info would be greatly appreciated, thanks -Mike
