Hi Guys,

I'm pulling my hair out trying to compile HBMAMEUI with nonag/whitebox removal. I grabbed the source from github, but everytime I try to apply the hi_160.diff I get the following errors:

C:\buildtools\src>cmd.exe
Microsoft Windows [Version 6.1.7601]
Copyright © 2009 Microsoft Corporation.  All rights reserved.

C:\buildtools\src>patchmame hi_160

C:\buildtools\src>set path=c:\mingw\mingw64-w64\bin

C:\buildtools\src>patch -p0 -E  0<hi_160.diff
can't find file to patch at input line 4
Perhaps you used the wrong -p or --strip option?
The text leading up to this was:
--------------------------
|diff -Nru old/emu/emu.mak src/emu/emu.mak
|--- old/emu/emu.mak    2015-03-25 08:16:52.000000000 -0500
|+++ src/emu/emu.mak    2015-03-25 11:50:02.000000000 -0500
--------------------------
File to patch:

Any help would be extremely appreciated!

hello newoski.

I had the same problem, I dont know how to compile it correctly. I asked to the creator of HBMame on PD forum to release proper source, and he answered: why you want nonag?

He can't understand that people want to use this system without boring messages.

I'm using MAMEUIFX 0.160 with the last HBMAME set and it works well but I haven't tried all games. You should try it.

Otherwise i'm using custom wheels (check my folder), did you manage to rename MAME wheels for this set?

Thanks.

MAMEUIFX doesn't work. It supports the games it knows -- which is why some work -- but for example, abortman does not work
