Have you guys seen the Nvidia Shield? It is an amazing device and I currently have it more or less functioning as a home arcade handheld. It emulates most of the earlier systems via Android apps. It also streams PC games and there are lots of native apps. I really think this is a game changer. All it needs is a Hyperspin front end. OMG. This is the best gaming handheld ever. I have 1000's of games running on it, mostly with emulators. Simply amazing. Native Android games are also incredible. It is like having an entire video arcade in your hand. Excellent for retro-gamers.

Setup is easy, and with all my roms already organized on my arcade cab, I was able to essentially replicate it all in a handheld.

I've not had much time to work on this, but i did get the shield to launch and run hyperspin via streaming. You need to use a helper application written by a member of the geforce forums

https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/622876/general-discussion/-guide-use-shield-w-non-xinput-enabled-games-and-applications-xpadder-pinnacle-game-profiler-etc-/

1) Install McShieldLauncher - carefully follow his instructions. Don't forget to calibrate the shield or you'll get crazy joystick drifting, etc.

2) Fire up McShield and launch hyperspin. You can't use the shield (well you can but don't want to) to navigate directly. You'll need to use Xpadder or something similar, as the shield has the same problem as XBox360 controllers - hyperspin will go nuts and keep scrolling. I use a Batch -> EXE file convertor to run:

A) Xpadder

B) Hyperspin

C) Close Xpadder

3) Launch your game. You'll probably need to configure your controls once inside the EMU. This can be easy or painful depending on the EMU UI. It's easiest to do it for the first time at your actual computer i found. You can also use the shield's touchscreen. You can't configure the controls ahead of time, because you can't assign the Shield buttons unless the shield is running, which it won't be unless your streaming the content.

I was able to play Samurari showdown 5 without any issues. Strangely, i had some input lag with 1943, which i didn't notice in SS5.

I have only tested this with MAME FX .150 so far. I've not tested this with Exit buttons, hyper pause or a lot of other stuff either. I probably won't get a chance to mess with this more until this weekend or later.
