pomme Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Title says it all. Documentation states that wheel will spin between 3 seconds and whatever you have Hyperspin length set to. All I want to do is simply have HyperSpin be less hyper, and not as spinny. Is there a setting I can edit that will just click over to the next game in the wheel? I'm doing a unique build with just a few games, I'd like to get the attract mode to spin less than 3 seconds if possible. Anyone have any advice? iNTiGOD Posted May 21, 2015 Posted May 21, 2015 Have you run hyperhq.exe ? A picture is worth a thousand MAME High Score Tutorial For HyperSpin
pomme Posted May 22, 2015 Author Posted May 22, 2015 Yes, I've run HyperHQ hundreds of times. In the screenshot you've posted above a game theme will sit for 1 minute, playing the demo video roughly 2 times. After 1 minute is up, the wheel will spin for some amount of time between 4 and 10 seconds. It says it right there in the screenshot "The wheel will spin for a random amount of time between 3 seconds and the max spin time." I want the wheel to spin for less than 3 seconds. Ideally, just clicking over to the next game in the wheel after a game demo completes. There is no setting in HyperHQ for this, so I was hopping there was something I could force into the settings file. I guess I could turn attract mode off and write a script that pushed right every 30 seconds and stopped running once I opened MAME (and started again after closing). Seems like a round about way to so something that seems just a small setting out of reach. Time Waster (2010), Donkey Kong (2011), Defender (2012)
pomme Posted May 29, 2015 Author Posted May 29, 2015 I figured this out on my own. I turned attract mode off, then wrote a AHK script that moves the menu "right" every 30 seconds (roughly the length of the demo videos). The script opens with hyperspin, then I use event ghost to disable the script when MAME opens (so the joystick isn't clicking to the right every 30 seconds). Event ghost also renables the script when I regain focus in Hyperspin. It all works perfectly except while you are manually scrolling through games you get an occasional extra push. I imagine there's some way to deal with this in event ghost but I haven't dug too deeply into it. Time Waster (2010), Donkey Kong (2011), Defender (2012)
