Sega M2 games will not load in RL

I can launch M2 games outside of RL fine...they load very fast.  But in RL they always crash the program?  

 

for 7z option I have it set to True and use global..then in settings I have by Skip checks: rom extension...with out this checked it said the rom extensions were not valid.  

 

Any help?

Ron over at RL said to try:

 

Click Sega Model 2 on the left.
Click Settings on top and the Main Settings sub-tab.
Set 7z to false.
Set Skip Checks to False.

 

worked like a charm!!

 

Also for some reason windows was bringing up an alert in the background if it should trust the emu...so I clicked yes to that...however it was doing all this behind the Fade page art...finally saw what it was doing there via the tool bar.  Once I clicked yes the above fixes worked.

I set up my hyper spin via Simply Austin's YouTube videos...try setting everything up via his tutorials...pretty good.  Had 3 gliches but everything else worked.  If still doesn't work try posting on RocketLauncher forum.  You just post your error log and they try to solve it.

I went back through still not working. I test in rocketlauncher and it loads at best the sega m2 emulator no game... I checked the log and the error is.. ScriptError - You did not supply any valid rom extensions to search for in your compressed roms. Please turn off 7z support or add at least one rom extension to Rom_Extension: "zip". If this archive has no roms with a standard romName inside, you may need to set Skip Checks to "Rom Extension."?

I tired what they said to skip checks.. did not help. The ext is set to zip by default. How the heck to I have hyperspin update the log for it? I have checked but its an old one.. I have it set to TROUBLE SHOOTING.. in RocketlauncherUI. It looks like its a similar issue I had in the past with NON updated syustems in the new rocket launcher... I think I might just wait until I become premium so this issue is done.

Did you put the correct extensions of the roms in?  I know I had the problem of following Austin's tutorial but the prob was the roms I had were a different extenion then what he had.  The other problem I had was the rom set themselves.  The labeling of the roms have to be exact match with hyperspin. At first I downloaded the renaming app and that didn't do much to make things work.   If you search for hyperspin versions that will save a ton of headaches.  Had to learn that one the hard way.  LOL.  So after getting 3-4 bad versions i finally found the set that worked.  Getting HS working was a crazy pain the ass.  But after it works man it's nice!!!  Keep at it...you're close.  

 

Keep posting your logs over in the RL forum they're pretty quick to see the problem.

Thanks.. Well the roms that I have worked before with HL? I will double check. In regards to the extension, I have it set to zip as the roms are zipped, however unzipped the roms have a weird ext.. .01, .02 etc?

I also noticed that the version Austin provides is 1.1a while the module calls for v1.0. Trying that too.

ScriptError - There was an error waiting for the window "ahk_class MYWIN". Please check you have the correct version emulator installed for this module, followed any notes in the module, and have this emulator working outside your Frontend first. Also turn off Fade to see if you are hiding your problem.

That is the error I get. I have double checked and I am not using Sega Model 2 V1.0 as per the module.

I have tried 7z to FALSE and SKIP TO False.. it did not work.

I have checked the paths for roms/emulators they are correct. The roms are .zip and all is set to .zip in the sega model 2 tab.

The emulator opens up but does not play the clicked game.

All the games are listed in green when I check in the games tab.

The emulator works fine outside of RL. I am baffled.
