  1. Dave, download a free PC program called FileZilla, you can access the content thru the FTP client called FileZilla
  2. Thank you so much Circo. I not been on here in a year or so. I don't remember if I was Gold or Platinum. But if I was gold, I wan to say thanks for the generosity. ^.^
  3. It must have been the trackball built into the controller that got me excited about it. lol I'd say your right, and steer clear of this one....
  4. Has anyone ever heard of BANDAI PIPPIN? I am sure many of you have, but I haven't and here is a video I came across on youtube. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odkw=bandaie+pippin&_from=R40%7CR40&_osacat=0&_from=R40&_trksid=p2045573.m570.l1313.TR0.TRC0.A0.H0.Xbandai+pippin&_nkw=bandai+pippin&_sacat=0 I was wondering, if this is something that has been worked on in the past to include with hyperspin setup? I don't know if there are even emulators to use for this system. KL
  5. May I suggest you downloading the files and giving it a try out, before you blurt out your thoughts. I know its difficult to do when you haven't outgrown the 3 second attention span. I wish you well anyways. Cheers, KL
  6. I do not want to make this issue any more confusing. But if it is not possible to have both "permission to delete" folders AND "permission NOT to delete" folders all within the same main folder. Then perhaps a remedy could be to have two (2) tiers of folders on the FTP. Tier 1 folder, would be for gold members, and Tier 1 folder would have "permission to delete" folders. Tier 2 folder, would be for platinum members, and Tier 2 folder would have "permission NOT to delete" folders. It would make your folders more secure, an added benefit of being a platinum member. Anyhow, all this non-sense wouldn't be needed if there can be both types of permissions within the same folder. Also, if people are more careful on the FTP, it wouldn't be an issue in the 1st place. I'd like to commend the people who make backups and Craig for his hard work that he shares with the community here on hyperspin-fe. Cheers, KL
  7. I want to encourage you to sign-up at emumovies. Circo does amazing work, and you will not be disappointed in everything he has to offer. hyperspin and emumovies are two independent websites with different owners who collaborate their work for us to enjoy. Definitely worth being paying members on both sites, like myself and countless others have done. This is a hobby, and every hobby will have expenditures associated with it. I know you think your platinum membership is for not, but you will get your value back out of it the more you use the site. Great to see you on board. KL
  8. To be honest shutting this guy down won't solve the problem. Where there is a market of buyers, some people will decide to sell pre-loaded hard drives. As of right now, there are more than a dozen places online where you can buy pre-loaded hard drives, that I know of. If you go after him, why not go after them all? Or we could just ignore them and not give them free advertisement to direct traffic to their sites. People will continue to buy from him and from the other places when the word spreads.
  9. Just found a Japanese site, has cart scans of the Famicom Disk System....and much much more...it does have a water mark though when you zoom up on the large image...I am not sure if there is a work-around to remove the watermark? http://www.otakaraou.com/index.php/product-list/42?page=1 There are many other system carts on the site too...might be kool to update the japanese sets we have here.... using google translator, it shows the game titles in english..makes it easy to identify the games XD http://translate.google.com/translate?sl=ja&tl=en&js=n&prev=_t&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&eotf=1&u=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.otakaraou.com%2Fproduct%2F3814 Here is a site that doesn't have watermarks, but the images are not very large...they make nice thumbnails though http://www.tea4two.jp/product_info.php/products_id/614/ this site has some good 2d box art: http://www.suruga-ya.jp/database/160.html another site, but not as good http://item.rakuten.co.jp/gamepara/c/0000000112/ or http://search.rakuten.co.jp/search/mall/%E3%83%87%E3%82%A3%E3%82%B9%E3%82%AF%E3%82%B7%E3%82%B9%E3%83%86%E3%83%A0/-/f.1-p.1-s.1-sf.0-st.O-v.3 okay, well i think i've posted anough links now, ahaha
  10. Buy the PS3 Tekken 6 Arcade Stick from ebay for cheap. It uses a USB wireless receiver, and has nice reviews. Only problem I see about it, is I don't think you can use two of them side by side for 2 player action, but I might be wrong. Here is a video review of it: Personlly I use the MK TE Arcade stick (it is wired, not wireless) for PS3 for use on my PC and use it with hyperspin. It fits nicely on your lap and looks great! Here is a video review of it: I bought mine on ebay for $66 which included shipping cost, so I got a great deal IMO. Let us know what you buy. I want to point out, that you must get the PS3 version for use on the PC. The 360 stick will not work on the PC. KL
  11. Just a small update. I am going to re-upload all of my files in a few days. I have some better images of the box art for some of the games. Also, I will have an extra folder called "flyers" in which I have high quality scans of flyers that were available for some of the game. This is just an extra Also, I will have most of the back side of the box images as well. So this weekend, I am going to re-upload all my files. So stay tuned.
  12. I have uploaded my 55MB file now. Look for the folder named "Keith_Loving" on the FTP sever. It contains all the files I accumulated thus far. I do not have any graphics software. All I have is MS Paint. So the images I collected will need to be re-sized in a consistent manner. I do not have the ability to do any graphics work, so if someone here would like to take up this responsibility, I'd appreciate it. Feel free to add any work for this project into the "Keith_Loving" folder for the time being, until the project has been finished. Everything in my folders, should be properly named. I am not skilled in making themes, dat files, and XML's...hopefully those more skilled can take part in that. I should have the cart scans all found and uploaded in a few days..... Cheers, KL
  13. I am still learning the XML, what does the following tell me? index="true" image="0" Is what I type for the description, what I'll see and read on the tv screen for the name of the game being displayed? I have the roms, and I do plan on providing a list of CRC values later.
  14. To help us western folks to be able to easily identify some of these japanese games. I have the following re-naming conventions: I've re-named all the games that I am going to re-name. Some have not been re-named, because I am not sure how to re-name them. Let me know if you think we should or shouldn't "show" the revised naming convention above when using the HyperSpin wheel. Popular opinion will determine if these will get re-named. Personally, I vote for the re-naming convention to be shown in HyperSpin. It will make much more sence to everyone who reads the names of their games while scrolling thru their list of games. I think we could use the translated name in the description on the XML, so that it will show the new name, and not the original name. Let me know what you think of this idea. Only downside from what I can see is that the games won't be in alphabetical order. I think the order will still be based off of the actual rom name. I don't plan on editing file names of roms and pictures, but only to have the edited name in the description on the XML. Let me know your thoughts. Cheers, KL
