  1. Hello: I need a bit of help with setting up controls in Taito Type X. I have tried following Gigapig's Taito Type X setup guide but when using the typex_config.exe and getting it configured to use an xbox 360 madcatz fightstick; however, I cannot do diagonal movements like jump left or jump right. I tried using the pad_config.exe and changed the inputs to match the fightstick, but the results were the same (no diagonal movements). So I purchased Xpadder and learnt that it maps keystrokes to the gamepad. I have no idea what the key stroke layout is as I changed it in pad_config.exe. Does anyone have the keystroke layout for Taito Type X or can I choose the keys to be whatever in pad_config.exe and then map it to Xpadder. Thanks in advance.
  2. Yep that was it. I re-downloaded the the video snap from emumovies and that fixed it. Thank you.
  3. Hi: I'm having a problem viewing the video snap for Guerrilla War (gwar) for MAME in Hyperspin. I have the video snap and it plays fine on its own, but in Hyperspin the theme loads up and I can hear the video snap but not view it in the theme window. I believe it is an xml error - the video is not being placed where the window is; however, I do not know how to fix this. I'm hoping someone can instruct me on how to do this. I have attached the theme and here's what the xml says: <?xml version="1.0"?> -<Theme> <video start="none" type="grow" bshape="round" bcolor3="0" bcolor2="0" bcolor="0" bsize3="0" bsize2="0" bsize="10" delay="0.5" time="2.5" forceaspect="none" below="no" r="-7" y="309" x="211" h="524" w="398"/> <artwork1 start="bottom" type="none" delay="0" time="2" y="531" x="213" rest="none"/> <artwork2 start="top" type="grow" delay="0" time="2" y="128" x="507" rest="none"/> <artwork3 start="none" type="none" delay="0.5" time="1" y="70" x="227" rest="none"/> <artwork4 start="left" type="none" delay="0.5" time="2" y="603" x="74" rest="none"/> </Theme> gwar.zip
  4. I have installed DEmul emulator and I can start and exit games from Hyperspin, but when I run a game the theme from the game and the frame from DEmul emulator is still visible. I use DEmul for Dreamcast and it does not have this problem. When I launch a game I can still see the theme behind the bezel and game image it doesn't fade to black. The screen resolution is 1920 x 1200 the bezel is 1920 x 1080 I resized the png and ini file to 1920 x 1200 but it made no difference. I tried turning off the bezel in Rocketlauncher but then the theme is still visible behind the game. Am I missing a file somewhere?

    Bezels

Just an update; I reinstalled both the bezel and the Rocketlauncher module for the emulator and now the bezel works.

Okay, so I got a reply back from the guy who put the tutorial on installing Sega Model 3 and who also provided the bezel, and he responded that the bezel was causing issues for this system so he did not enable it. I guess there is no solution.

Thanks for taking a look at this Gigapig, I did as you instructed in both Rocketlauncher and Hyperspin; I open a game hit alt-enter and the screen becomes windowed; I exit the game and run the game again it starts in fullscreen with no bezel. Did I miss a step?

Hi: I need help again. This time with a Sega Model 3 bezel not showing up. It looks correct but for whatever reason doesn't appear. I'm using a 24 inch widescreen monitor with Supermodel as the emulator with a resolution of 1280x720 with fullscreen and widesreen boxes unchecked. Rocketlaucher has bezel set to true and fullsreen set to false. I have the image and INI file placed in the Bezels folder in D:\Games\RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\Sega Model 3\_default . The bezel is a 16x9 png file 1920 x 1080 pixels. The INI file is [General] Bezel Screen Top Left X Coordinate=236 Bezel Screen Top Left Y Coordinate=0 Bezel Screen Bottom Right X Coordinate=1683 Bezel Screen Bottom Right Y Coordinate=1079 I can see the bezels for other emulators on Hyperspin but not this one. Help. Please and thank you.

    HyperHQ will not start

Hi: I recently developed this problem with HyperHQ no longer opening. I found this thread and added the exception to Windows Defender and HyperHQ still will not open. Is there something else I could try?

Hi Windows 10 user here, I've made this exception to Windows 10 but HyperHQ still won't open. Is there something else I should try?

I know you're right Gigapig. I just didn't know where the Bezels were being pulled from (Hyperspin or Rocketlauncher). I have done as you've instructed and create a default folder and placed the bezel and ini file in it and launched Rocketlauncher and IT WORKS! Thank you so much for the assist.

Thanks for the reply. I am using Retroarch as the emulator. The bezel and INI are placed in D:\Games\HyperSpin\Media\Bezels\NEC TurboGrafx-16 and D:\Games\RocketLauncher\Media\Bezels\NEC TurboGrafx-16 Both the bezel and INI are exactly the same in both locations.
