  1. I used that EMU tool to scrape SNES from MAME 277 SL and only like 2% media got DL. I guess that's not really working to well either with the new ROM names from Pleasuredome.
  2. I did use Emu to download system media I wanted to replace when I got HS 1.5 working again but the media names are totally different from the latest databases and game names. I want to have the latest MAME arcade and software releases. Think it's like MAME 277. So I'd have to go 1 by 1 and change each EMU old video name, wheel name and theme name to match every new MAME game and Softwarelists games in like 10 systems that I have. That seems pretty untenable. I haven't heard anyone mention a tool that can do that kind of search and replace with fuzzy logic and change media names to new game names and xml database names. If there is one I stand corrected but until then there's no way I have time to do this by hand for hundreds or thousands of games if I want to add a system to HS 1.5
  3. I've been using it for years and had everything going since 2018, I mean you could probably click on my profile before posting a silly comment? Until this stupid Windows update crap and Hyper-Sync being non existent it worked fine for me. No one is bagging on original HS but has started to die now that it's not being supported and being blocked by Windows. I ended up fixing the Windows update problem but here's nothing I can do about not being able to add art easily in Hyperspin 1.5. I'm not going to stick themes in folders 1 by 1. Hyper-Sync is dead... You really shouldn't concern yourself with what anyone else does or chooses. I see you're a little annoyed on the subject of people migrating to Hyperspin 2 since you commented on it so I'll leave it at that.
  4. With no easy way to add art to new systems what's the point? In addition HS1 isn't even supported anymore so it's just a matter of time until something in Windows breaks it again. When HS2 has all the themes and can download all the art quickly what will be the point of HS1 running on deprecated Flash themes. I'd love to know...
  5. Thanks for the info. Luckily my MAME art is still all there, so it's just like six consoles I'd have to redo. I may not even go through all the trouble since I took Hyperspin 2 for a spin and it seems to download most of the art and I'm sure the themes will grow over time. So I'll probably just keep an eye on Hyperspin 2.
  6. Now that I got HS running again I need some advise on getting artwork media for software systems like Atari 2600, the Nintendos ect. I accidentally deleted the artwork dealing with this Windows update issure. I tried my old Hyper-Sync but it no longer works with HS, I believe the server is long gone. Does this mean I have to painstakingly refill each artwork for by hand for each system? How do you guys fill your artwork folders for new systems you add nowadays?
  7. Good luck guys, think I'll be migrating to Hyperspin 2
  8. Yes, I'd definitely suggest trying the restore (fix problems using windows update) option. Worked for me last night and got Hyperspin running again.
  9. I was able to uninstall kb:5055523 and get my Hyperspin working again. The only thing that worked for me was right click Start on your taskbar and click System. Then click System again in the top left menu. Look for Recovery in the middle panel and click "Fix Problems using Windows Update". Click Reinstall Now. Just let it do it's thing and reboot when asked. I was able to delete kb:5055523 and get HS working. I'm going to try and hide it now with that tool jesfknkrys suggested, thanks for that hope this helps someone cuz that sucked. You can also do this to disable Windows Updates: 2. Disabling Automatic Updates (Permanent): Method 1: Using Services: Open Run dialog (Windows Key + R) and type services.msc. Find "Windows Update" in the list, right-click, and select "Properties". Change the Startup type to "Disabled" and click "Stop" if it's running. Apply the changes and click OK.
  10. @Dime333 Can't it be hidden with that program posted earlier on this thread. I believe The post said something like Windows won't install hidden updates.
  11. @jesfknkrys Thanks for helping, I did have an option to uninstall it but after I hit uninstall it goes about 20% and quits. Did you actually go through with the uninstall, if so did it uninstall completely? If it does uninstall completely on yours and not mine maybe it's because mine doesn't have anything to revert to? Like missing files or something? I will try those commands you suggested ASAP and report back...
  12. Unfortunately that does not work @Agard Any other ideas for KB5055523 that won't uninstall?
