I think this is a very useful tool if I understand how it works, but I think it needs some better documentation. If I understand correctly, this will generate a MAME.xml database file for the version of the mame executable I supply it correct? And depending on what other options I select in the tabs genre and other filters will be created? What is the option on the first page with the checkbox "Mame XL ... 0." what is the purpose of this? Also, what is the purpose of the "Lists filtered" option? While I'm at it, what is the purpose of the folders options? I'm sorry but some of this is really unclear. I am really hoping this helps me generate the proper mame.xml hyperlist source xml file... But I'm having problems! A few times after running, the directories have been left empty like nothing has happened. Can you advise? I'm assuming after this runs and I have the file "mame 209.xml" this can just be renamed as "mame.xml" and put in the Hyperspin\Databases\MAME\ directory for RL to read?
I'm not trying to be critical, I think this is an invaluable tool I just want some clarity on functionality
