  1. That's an intense cabinet! Nice work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Tristelee: Like Reefboi16 said, I did put some info in the Imgur album about the computer running it and tried to show detail on the cabinet, let me know if there is anything else you want to know. HazzardActual: Do you have Visio? If so, I can send you the file. It has the major pieces that I cut and then some of the other stuff I had to sort of ad lib as I went. I can always break out the tape measure and get some more details if you'd like.
  3. Lucian045, Thank you again for the great print job on my artwork. I finally managed to post the build: http://imgur.com/a/2MfZ6 I'm really happy with the recommendation to use the matte finish, it's got a great feel to it. Thanks again!
  4. Hi all, First off, thank you to everyone involved with making HyperSpin and Hyper/RocketLauncher, as well as all those who participate in this site and keep this community alive. I've wanted arcade cabinet for a long time since I was small enough to stand on stools in the arcade to reach the controls, and this thing was a ton of fun to build and has been a ton of fun to play with. The build album is below and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks again everyone, I'm really glad I found this place. Album: http://imgur.com/a/2MfZ6
  5. Looks really great. I really like the overall color scheme, very cohesive. Can't wait to see the final product.
  6. Really great design scheme, a very modern retro
  7. Thank you for the feedback everyone. I think I will go with six for now and see how that feels. Thanks again everyone for the advice, I'll probably bug you all for feedback on my attempt at control panel artwork once I tweak that a bit .
  8. Hi everyone, First post on the forums and I am looking for some feedback on my first build, a 4-player pedestal. I was planning on going with a six button layout for P1/P2 and then four buttons for P3/P4. I have set up the computer already and I am emulating up through GC/Wii. I know for certain systems I will obviously have to go with a controller, so I am fine with that. My main question was really if P1/P2 should have six or seven (or maybe even eight) buttons. Are Neo Geo games uncomfortable to play without that seventh button? For those people with eight buttons, has it increased the number/types of games you can play with the control panel vs a separate controller? Thanks for the feedback everyone and additionally, thank you everyone for building this community. As a lifelong fan of video games, this is just an awesome place.
  9. Gotcha. I have many fond memories of the NES as well. I'm building my own multi-system cab and still working on the CP art/theme; just wanted to get some insight into other's thought process. Thanks for the share!
  10. Have you thought about a Pentium G3258 for the CPU? It has some great single-core performance that is on par with some of the real high end chips for Dolphin performance. It is unlocked too, so you can always overclock. Routinely has been on sale as a combo with a mobo for like $90.
  11. Working on building my first Hyperspin pedestal cabinet now. I bought all my buttons (SuzoHapp) and sticks (Sanwa) from focusattack. They had a good selection and really great customer service. I had a couple of minor issues (e.g. ordered a convex button and a concave one came instead), they fixed everything right away at obviously no cost to me. Would definitely order there again. They sell IPac stuff too. Got the trackball directly from SuzoHapp. Watch out and make sure you double-check the shipping from there. I picked Fedex freight for $6 because even though they had UPS ground, no price was listed. When I contacted them to ask how much UPS Ground was, they told me it was $20.
  12. Wow, looks great, thanks for sharing.
  13. Out of curiosity, since it will be a multi-machine setup, what made you go with Mario and Luigi?
