  1. http://imgur.com/a/AAsBQ Project is completed minus graphics which I'm in the process of setting up. Alot of bumps in the road but everything working great.
  2. Got the trackball from Xarcade and it comes with 4 buttons
  3. Got the control panels done today and what a pain the butt. First off the template I used, the buttons apparently weren't spread out enough so squeezing the nuts on the bottom was a nightmare. And recessing everything so the bolts would fit was annoying. if I had to do it over I would buy much thinner Mdf just for the control panel instead of using 3/4. Anyways it wasn't pretty but we got it done..
  4. Getting ready to drill the holes for the control panel. Does this layout look good. I got the DIY X arcade that comes with tracball and 20 buttons (2 are 1\2 player buttons). This is the backside so everthing is reveresed. Was planing on 8 buttons ( Do I really need the bottom 2?) The middle top 4 would be the inside ones right and left mouse and the outer ones 1 /2 player. and the far top ones one would be back\escape and not sure what the other one will be yet. Any suggestions on changes\ additions or does this seem ok? not sure if put everything too high too on the control panel and should lower everything a tad. Any input is appreciated. Thanks
  5. Just about ready to start work on my control panel, right now it has a coat of primer\sealer and 4 coats of latex paint but I'm worried it will start to get damaged from repetitive playing. Is putting a piece of plexi over it a good idea? Or is there any better ideas? What size plexi also? Thanks for the input
  6. Another Update : Finished all the paneling, cut out slot for coin door, slot cut the cabinets for t-molding, filled in nail holes and then next step is primer and paint. http://imgur.com/a/g2Rhr
  7. If I were to use car speakers and buy a Lepai amplifier http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0049P6OTI?keywords=lepai&qid=1448132430&ref_=sr_1_1&s=electronics&sr=1-1) .. Where do you guys think would be a good space to mount in on the cabinet?
  8. Can anyone give some input on a sound system? I was planing on just throwing some computer speakers below the marquee and plugging them into my computer. Also I have hyperspin all working good on my notebook computer. Is it a bad idea to just throw that inside my cabinet or do i need to transfer everything over to a tower?
  9. Im in the same boat as you, just wanna get it completed and painted first and then worry about the graphics later. The problem i think i am gonna run into is that it is very narrow from the monitor up and I think the graphics might look strange. Might just stick with paint but who knows. I was planing on using just plexi glass and boxing out the size of the monitor and spray painting the backside of the borders black unless someone can suggest other opitions. I ended up purchasing the DIY 2 player kit from xarcade along with their coin door so no fancy buttons gonna be a pretty plain cabinet. Going with a 24" LCD monitor. Is there a real difference in monitors? Was looking at the 24" Benq gaming monitor was only like 130.00 dollars.
  10. Hey Guys, Just Started my first build and thought i'd share the progress. Super excited how its coming out, its not perfect but we got a lot accomplished so far in just 4 hours. Hoping to get the rest completed shortly and ready for paint and primer. Iam sure ill have some questions along the way that I hope some of you may be able to help with. http://imgur.com/a/Wn09S
  11. Looks Great.. Looking to build one very similar to this. Can you please post the specs you used for the side panels
  12. Drew, Like I said I had copy and pasted mine and it didn't work so I had to change it. My Copy and Paste stated C:\Rocklauncher\RocketLauncher.exe..... and I had to change it to make sure the L in first rocketlauncher was capitilized to match the Exe.. So now mine reads. C:\RocketLauncher\RocketLauncher.exe... Try that...Dont rely on copy and paste. It was driving me nuts. Paste and post what your path is set up in the settings.ini for us to look at. Make sure you manually added RocketLauncher.exe to the end of the path.. It won't be there from copy and paste, that might be an issue too.
  13. Drew I had the same problem.. You have to make sure the path set in the hyperspin settings ini matches. Even though my location was set to c:\Rocketlauncher\RocketLauncher.exe I had to capitalize the L in the first RocketLauncher even though it was how the drive was written and it started working.. Give that a try.
