  1. Did you figure this out? I have a 4:3 monitor and want to change the resolution to fill it out and prevent widescreen format as well.
  2. Nice cab! I have a converted jamma Quartet cab that I used a HP LP2065 20" 4:3 monitor in. In fact its one of the best monitors for a mame build if you are ok with 20". You can get them on ebay for $50 as a FYI so not sure why everyone says they cost an arm and a leg.
  3. For blitz you should have a core i5 3.0 Ghz or higher to ensure good framerate and no skipping.
  4. Yes helpful. I have a fully working PC setup in my cabinet but this android build is giving me issues. I have all the stuff setup but when i hit a rom for a system the screen flashes quick and nothing happens. Roms open fine direclty in retroarch. NES and Genesis roms are zipped but i did have this working at some point so dont think thats the issue. Has to be something in the .ini file but i can't find any issues. Roms are found, media and everyting is there, database files match the same name as roms so not sure.....
  5. How do you know what to name the system.ini file? Example: SNK Neo Geo or Neo Geo? Hyperspin has to be looking for a spedific name I would guess which also needs to match your database.xml and media folder name for that system correct? Will it work just as long as you match the main wheel database system name? Essentially where do you define what that system name is going to be so the structure works?
  6. Question on naming convention for .ini files, database files, and media files. So I'm a bit confused on how things need to be named. I'm guessing Hyperspin is looking for a specific name of the .ini (settings) file for each system... What name should it be? Example: Emulator: SNK Neo Geo Should settings.ini be = SNK Neo Geo, or Neo Geo? Also based on what the answer above is, I'm guessing that the database file needs to match the .ini file name, as well as the Media folder name for that system? The Emulator folder and rom folder don't matter as long as the .ini file has that proper directory added. So the main question is again what names do the .ini, database and media files/folders need to be for Hyperspin to find them?
  7. I'm having this same issue. How do you bring up the RetroArch settings again? I can't seem to do that. The settings icon isn't selectable even if I use a keyboard and mouse trying to click it. Only way I can get back to retroarch settings is to force close it to close the rom loaded.
  8. Hello, Got things working well but can't seem to get the osd keys to disable when launching roms through hyperspin. I have disabled it within retroarch and works fine if launching roms direclty in retroarch. However for some reason if i launch the game in hyperspin the OSD overlay is present. I'm guessing there is a seperate config I'm missing but looking for some assistance. Thanks!
  9. Love the post above ^... Too many similar situations.. Anyway got my cabinet completed this past week and finally got around to messing with some shaders. After numerous tests with both HLSL and GLSL i decided GLSL is for me. Thanks to this post I was able to figure out how to integrate it into HS/Rocketlauncher. I am a bit confused though as to why all these posts say GLSL requires such a beefy graphics card and can kill performance. I haven't experienced any issues with it enabled and my specs are somewhat modest.. Rig; CPU: Core i5 2500 (3.2 Ghz) GPU: GTX 460 (1GB Version) 4GB system RAM
  10. Im new into the scene and have my cabinet up and running perfectly finally. This is currently what I'm stuck on (HLSL vs GLSL). I've heard GLSL is less taxing on your system but not sure that matters for my rig..? Specs below. Non the less I'm still trying to figure out where to properly set everything for both GLSL and HLSL. I'm getting there.. . I love the idea though, as I'm only really concerned with scanlines and that arcade look on my MAME emulator. Specs: Core i5 2500 (3.2Ghz) 4GB RAM nVidia GTX 460 (1GB verssion) OS: SSD 64GB HyperSpin Partition: 2TB Hitachia 7k Windows 8.1
  11. Did you find a solution to this? I' having a slightly differnt problem where i have HyperSpin setup to autoboot upon windows login. It loads and I can't controll anything with my joystick until I issue a left mouse click. Its almost as if that gains HyperSpin focus again. Very odd, but looking for a solution.

  13. Looking for any insight as to why that profile is failing to load when i launch mame games. Above is the joytokey profile log.
