Nintendo Wii - Database (Official) 1.3

   (0 reviews)

About This File

So I was looking for a Wii development database thread in the forum. There wasn't one, but I found this from 6 months ago instead:

"That Wii DB is a mess.

Someone did a CTRL+H to replace all instances of the word "Racing" with "Driving"

While all they had to do was change "<genre>Racing" with "<genre>Driving"

Then circo took that faulty xml and made it "official" =___=!"

:)

I have zero plans to do anything special with this database. All I've done is correct the instances of 'driving' in the descriptions/game names, and replaced hyphens with colons in the description.

I've made a development thread - if you want to contribute to this database, please do. I am not the keeper of these databases, I'm just a contributor.

What's New in Version 1.3

Released

1.1 - Sorry for the update... again, I don't plan on doing a lot with this. But after speaking with wallmachine, there were a few more blatant errors that needed to be addressed.

Arcade Shooter - Illvelo (USA) ----> Never had a USA release only Japan

Battle Rage - The Robot Wars (Europe) ----> Battle Rage - Mech Conflict (USA) is already listed in the database.... Never had a Europe release unless you count UK and AU as Europe. Also if it did have a Europe release it has never been dumped i have access to scene never seen it.

Dragon Quest X (All in One Package) (Japan) ----> Has two discs not one

Dragon Quest X Online - Mesamashi Itsutsu no Shuzoku (Japan) ----> Has two discs not one

These issues are now fixed. If there are any further issues, please visit the development database, or shoot me a PM. For some reason when people comment on these file uploads, I never get the notifications.

Added some new games:

Barbie and Her Sisters - Puppy Rescue (USA)
Disney Violetta - Rhythm & Music (USA)

And two well done hacks:

New Super Mario Bros. Wii 2 - The Next Levels (USA) (Hack)
Newer Super Mario Bros. Wii (USA) (Hack)

I put my name in the 'version number' also, and will from now on. Not to stroke my own ego, but to signify that this database was worked on by someone and to put a name to it.

1.3

Other than future contributions from others, this is most likely the last of the changes from my end. Whenever I set up a system, I always make it a point to create 'genres' for every possible filter - ratings, years, genre, and manufacturer. The fact that I am this anal about splitting the list all those different ways puts me in a unique position to (relatively) easily find typos and mistakes, because all of the lists get sorted into a folder, and I can plainly see what's wrong.

So, I fixed a number of typos, fixed a few genres, and cleaned up the meta data.

And of course, as always, if there were mistakes on my end, shoot me a PM or visit the development thread, and we'll get it fixed.
