J-Pac not recoginzing new PC Games

All,

I have a USB connected J-Pac hooked up running HyperSpin.  I have all emulators running completely fine with no issues, however I decided to try out a few of the newer PC games (Mortal Kombat X, and Super StreetFighter IV: Arcade Edition) to my setup.  I have no issue launching games from within HS however once the game starts my controls don't respond.  If I hook up a USB keyboard I can navigate the games, but once I go to reassign the controls again my joysticks and buttons hooked up to the J-Pac are not recognized.  I have also launched the game outside of HS with no luck.

Has anyone run into an issue like this before?

Thank you for any ideas or thoughts,

Mike

I got SF4 up and running with my USB connected iPac no problem. I just went into the options and re-assigned the keyboard keys to map my buttons/joysticks. Sounds like the jPac may be different? Do other PC games work fine?

MKX is a whole barrel of trouble to get working. Search for the few MKX joystick threads for more details.

Basically the MKX keyboard controls are horribly done. The only good way t get it working is by installing and setting up VJoy (link in the topic to search for). Having VJoy installed makes iPac controlled controls work as if they are 360 controls without any other programs. The game works flawlessly after that.

But here's the catch. Having VJoy installed will make SF4 and most other games not work (even some emulators crash with the VJoy drivers enabled). To get those games working again you then have to go into the Device Manager and disable the VJoy drivers. You need to do this everytime you want to play MKX. Or come up with a workaround like I did.

Thanks for the Response, I only have MKX and SSFIV installed.  I really only put the PC games on because I wanted to get the better Graphic fighters on there.  I'll see if I can't get a copy of SF4 to see if that will works with my J-Pac.

I'll look into VJoy and see if I can come up with a manageable solution.

I reached out to Andy from Ultimarc and we have been going back and fourth with minor details.

Thanks again for your time,

Mike

By SF4 I meant Super Street Fighter IV so you already have it. Actually I guess it's Ultra Street Fighter IV now.

Oh ok, yea I've tried everything to config the controls with no luck.  I'll look into vJoy.  do you think joy2key or xpladder would make any difference?

Thanks,

Mike

Maybe. I don't use either one for anything so couldn't say.

I'll give it a shot when I get off the work computer, got nothing else to loose right.

Thanks again for everything,

Mike
