Daemon tools lite.

Just installed the newest version, 10.1 I believe. And I hate it!!! It no longer let's you create a virtual drive, you can mount images still but it errored on the first image I tried. I have been a fan for years so I am not sure where to go for another solution. I could probably find an older version somewhere if I must but what else are people using?

What the real problem for future hyperspinners is that daemon does not have a CLI anymore!

There must be a good alternative, hopefully freeware!

Great info Jeremy, thanks for that! Messed around with poweriso years ago a little bit but I don't think it handled virtual drives back then. I think I will check some of those out before I start digging for an older version of DT.

If it's just to mount dvd/cd's, Slysoft's free version is very light and straight forward.  It doesn't give you the copy protection bypass like DT does but if you're like me and minimalist, you'll love it.

I decided to go with Jeremy's advice and go DT4. Not before being totally stupid and trying magiciso/magicdisc which doesn't work because it doesn't support cue files! Also, after un-installing, it left a phantom virtual drive which i had to mess with regestry entries to get rid of... real pain!
