Spawk Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 Just installed the newest version, 10.1 I believe. And I hate it!!! It no longer let's you create a virtual drive, you can mount images still but it errored on the first image I tried. I have been a fan for years so I am not sure where to go for another solution. I could probably find an older version somewhere if I must but what else are people using? What the real problem for future hyperspinners is that daemon does not have a CLI anymore! There must be a good alternative, hopefully freeware!
Spawk Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 Great info Jeremy, thanks for that! Messed around with poweriso years ago a little bit but I don't think it handled virtual drives back then. I think I will check some of those out before I start digging for an older version of DT.
Kryptique Posted July 17, 2015 Posted July 17, 2015 If it's just to mount dvd/cd's, Slysoft's free version is very light and straight forward. It doesn't give you the copy protection bypass like DT does but if you're like me and minimalist, you'll love it.
Spawk Posted July 17, 2015 Author Posted July 17, 2015 I decided to go with Jeremy's advice and go DT4. Not before being totally stupid and trying magiciso/magicdisc which doesn't work because it doesn't support cue files! Also, after un-installing, it left a phantom virtual drive which i had to mess with regestry entries to get rid of... real pain!
