Do I need MAME installed before i use Mameuifx?

I am racking my brain here try to figure out some problems I have, and hopefully somebody will be able to help me out.

 

1. Do I need to have MAME folder in :Hyperspin/emulators/ before I can install Mameuifx?

 

2. Do I need to put the mame Roms (game files) in a specific folder?

 

3. If I have mame roms version 0.150, do I have to use mameuifx version 0.150? If so, where do you find older versions of the program (mameuifx)?

 

4. And last, in RocketlauncherUI do I selected mameuifx as the default emulator and use mame.ahk for it?

 

Hope my questions make some sense.

The mameuifx.exe file will work on its on, but is dependent on the folder structure that comes with the mamedev build, and the associated files (like the HLSL shaders and such).

So to get that folder structure from the mamedev build , what do I have to do? Just install mameuifx? Thanks
