D_Struct
So, I decased my playfield monitor a couple of days ago, and I noticed that there was a ground wire attached to a metal plate that was screwed into the back of the screen (after it was decased). Should I connect the ground wire to a screw inside the cabinet, or could I just connect it to a screw directly onto the back of the screen? I just don't want to risk damaging the tv. The metal plate that it was originally attached to was touching the back of the metal on the screen. For what it's worth, it's a Vizio 37" E370VT LED-LCD. Gilrock
So the ground wire attached to a metal plate that touched the back of the TV...so where was the other end attached? It sounds like it was on the case that you removed. If it didn't make it's way back to the ground pin in the power plug it wasn't really doing anything.
