Hyperspin and X-Arcade TankStick

I am very new, and very lost.  I am having trouble with the TankStick.  Example when I select Nintendo Arcade System: Popeye, I am not able to exit back to Hyperspin.  Do I need to configure the game itself?

I don't use a tankstick so I'm not sure how it's programmed, but maybe this will help you:

you need to map the buttons on the x arcade stick to have an escape button on there so you dont have to keep pulling out a key board and doing it. Go to the website for x arcade and there is a description there on how to change the buttons and map them in whatever way you want to. I have the same arcade stick and I setup the player one button to use as the escape button.

Lurker, can you attach your layout for the xcarde / MAME? Also, did you make any changes in HyperHQ, or did you leave it at default?

I been debating on returning the TankStick and get the Xtension Controller. Can't find any reviews on it and shipping back the X-Arcade I lose 25% of the cost because of S/H.
