yellowman5000 Posted September 8, 2015 Posted September 8, 2015 I'm running into an annoying issue with Xpadder taking its time to switch/load different profiles. On my dedicated HTPC build, I'm running Windows 8.1, with HyperLauncher, and shelled with Hyperspin (so the PC boots directly into Hyperspin, not windows explorer). Xpadder seems to take about 10-15 seconds to load, each time a new profile is initiated. This includes on bootup, starting an emulator, and going back to hyperspin after exiting any emulator. It's more annoying if anything, but I was curious if anyone has encountered this issue before. When I checked the hyperlaunch log, it shows that the xpadder profile is initiated within a second of going in or out of an emulator. So everything looks good on hyperspin's end, as far as I can tell. I'm running the latest Xpadder (2015 version). On my main desktop PC, i have no loading issues with xpadder switching profiles. I have the same hyperspin setup on both PCs and it also is running Windows 8.1. I'm almost confident it has something to with removing windows explorer as the shell and shelling hyperspin instead.
goldguitarguy Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 uncheck all the settings under TASKBAR in the xpadder settings.....should speed it up
goldguitarguy Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 You should also make an exception for Xpadder in Windows Defender
yellowman5000 Posted October 13, 2015 Author Posted October 13, 2015 Just to follow up, unchecking the options under the Taskbar setting did the trick. Thanks for the help.
