Delete roms in folder based on hyperspin xml

I made an XML with my favourite 302 games using a combo of romlister and dons tools. I wouldn't mind knowing if its possible to delete the other 8504 based on my custom hyperspin xml file or some other way thanks.

The best bet to you and what I use here to make what you want:

Hyperspin Checker - Can move all your unneeded roms/videos/wheels/artworks 1,2,3 4 (based on what was found in your xml

Romfolder cleaner can do the same as Hyperspin checker, just the UI is a little different, but HS checker has the crop xml tool that helps me a lot.

 

I recommend that you don't create a list the way you did, because it probably doesn't have tags such as manufacturer and year, it wouldn't appear if you use fade in.

But you still can have all these infos doing this;

Use romfolder cleaner or HS checker to move all your unneeded roms, you'll have in your MAME folder or whatever system you're working only the titles you chose, in your case, 302 titles.

Now, get again the official xml, that has all those tags I mentioned above, open Hyperspin Checker, audit your MAME, it will find 302 games out of 8000+, now, press "crop xml to only found games", you'll have a good database with all tags.
