dark Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 I've been updating my hyperspin set up for the past few months, I had PC launcher working fine for quite some time, recently however it has stopped working. The only things I can think of that changed in my set up since it last worked was I got Playstation 2 running/loading fine, and I've started hooking up game pads to the system. It's weird because I get this error that refers to the PS2 emulator when I try to launch any games with PC launcher: "Could not find the default PCSX2_ui.ini file. Please manually run the configure PCSX2 first so this file is created with all your default settings"" You can see with Taito Type X for example I have it set to use PC Launcher: It's probably something simple and stupid I'm missing here but in any case it's not coming to me and I'd appreciate any input that might be useful. Thanks for your time Dark
gigapig Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Dear Mr Dark That is weird dark shit you have going on there, I've not seen anything like it and you don't even have PS2 in the list. Could you perhaps post you log set to troubleshooting.
dark Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Here is a log when I tried to launch PC Launcher: http://pastebin.com/APbjwXSb I think this part is of interest perhaps: (not sure why it's calling up PCSX module) 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - Loading Front End Plugin: "HyperSpin" 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - HyperLaunch received "PC Games" and "Another World" 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - Another World is using the default emulator: PCLauncher 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - Checking for a [PCLauncher] section in D:\Arcade\HyperLaunch\Settings\PC Games\Emulators.ini 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - Checking for a [PCLauncher] section in D:\Arcade\HyperLaunch\Settings\Global Emulators.ini 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - Found [PCLauncher] in D:\Arcade\HyperLaunch\Settings\Global Emulators.ini 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | CheckFile - Checking if D:\Arcade\HyperLaunch\Modules\PCSX2\PCSX2.ahk exists 08:42:21:020 | HL | DEBUG1 | +0 | CheckFile - Attributes: File Size: 15397 bytes Created: 2/26/2015 - 6:47:28 PM Modified: 12/28/2014 - 12:53:37 PM 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - CRC Check - CRC matches, this is an official unedited module. 08:42:21:020 | HL | INFO | +0 | Main - Another World will use module: D:\Arcade\HyperLaunch\Modules\PCSX2\PCSX2.ahk 08:42:21:035 | HL | INFO | +16 | Main - Did not find a "D:\Arcade\HyperLaunch\Settings\PC Games\Game Options.ini" file, skipping any game-specific options.
gigapig Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 It's a bit of a mess really. Firstly I don't see a HyperSpin folder mentioned anywhere, is it in the "Arcade" folder? Having Hyperspins folder called something else can apparently cause problems Folder structure should be .\HyperSpin\HyperLauncer or RocketLauncher If your just setting this up you should perhaps start again and install RocketLauncher instead. Another weird one was seeing "PCLauncher.exe" what is that? PCLauncher is a module (an AHK file) it should not be an exe.
gigapig Posted September 12, 2015 Posted September 12, 2015 Globally PCLauncher should be set up like this.
dark Posted September 12, 2015 Author Posted September 12, 2015 Globally PCLauncher should be set up like this. Image 1.jpg Indeed, module was pointing at wrong thing, just couldn't see it skimming through settings. I knew it was something simple, I'd just gone blind to it, thanks a lot for your time Mr.Gigapig. Cheers.
