demonseed Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 Hey Guys, I decided to start a single thread in regards to the last few bugs that I am trying to fix with my HS setup. Instead of posting multiple questions as I know some are annoyed by me asking too many things. If you can help me in any of the below things, that would be great. If I am asking something that has already been asked kindly post a link... please. (I may add to it as time goes on).. Thanks very much in advance for all the great support. Jim's To do list. 1. custom music- where do you put mp3 files? how do you skip songs? Will the current in game video sounds be stopped or is there a way to reduce sound of one ? 2. Mame-racing games IE) Crusin USA, etc.. every time I load them I have to go through some reconfigurations of controls is there a way to disable this? 3. For missing videos/snapshots, is there a way to have HS (or another app) auto snap shot a game once it is opened? (This would be great way to fill in missing videos or screens). Any other suggestions? (yes I use the cloud app) 4. Any links to auto load HS, and auto hide windows 7? 5. I have weeded my setup down as I found some systems I did not use. Currently I have (MAME, SNES, NES, Sega GEN, Turbo, Game gear, Game boy, Gameboy advanced, Gameboy colour, PS2, PSP, Gamecube, PSP, PSX, Atari Jaquar, Sega Saturn, Model 3, Naomi, n64, dreamcast, and Sammy Atomiswave, daphne,Sega 32x, sega cd, and some sub categories for MAME). I am generally a NES guy up.. any other suggestions for systems? ( I have removed, older stuff like ataria, coleco, intellivision etc..... also 3do). 6. Is there a PC game walkthrough? How to setup games? (I checked youtube but things seem very old) 7. Speedup tips? I have my roms on external drives, which could be the problem, but sometimes HS seems to lag. I have disabled all virus apps. Running windows 7. 8. Openbor-any tutorial and suggested download places? 9. Any other tips or info on finalizing a setup (besides backing it all up) 10. PCSX2-still has issues.. If I have NO bezel on and NO fade games load, on exit, the screen flashes a window of the emulator. When I turn on bezels and make a black one, I get it to hide the flashing screen but its temperamental and the bezel often fills the screen, while PCSx2 runs in the background ( I can hear it) 11. PC Games- I am working on getting them to work in HS. What are must haves that can use a xbox pad without mouse etc, and that are not on any of the platforms I have? I currently am looking at Terrordrome, Crazy taxi 3, Super Street fighter 4, Championship pacman.. (my pc wont run anything much past street fighter 7)

You mean in terms of When it first runs? Maybe just due to drives spinning up. You can go deep into power options and have the time they spin down much bigger. This then has knock on effect of their lives and I wouldnt play with this unless you know what you are doing. SSD are the way forward for the main HS setup and roms on HDD. but you can look into Partition speed consolidation if you want to cheat for a small speed boost. 1.4 does help with much of the theme jitters though. 8. Too early to get into this, much like the PC launcher setup. 9. Go back and clean things up. look into Fade, artwork etc. Make sure you have it all how you like it. Fade is a very under rated part of the setup. A small tweak here and there looks awsome in the long run Try to customize it to your setup. ensure everything works as good as it can. Nothing worse than somone coming around, you say what you wanna play as you show off your system. First game they choose... black screen Reliable and good looking is how HyperSpin should be running! 10. PCSX2 is a beast of a system hog. The emulator aint too bad but its still VERY buggy with games. Too much detail needed for this. Would have to make a tutorial. 11. You have street fighter 7? heheehe you must know John Conner? hehehe.. go for local multiplayer games that are simple or arcade like: Crawl Nidhog Renagade ops (awesome!) New Gauntlet DOA series Tekken x Streetfighter Strider the list can go on and on mate
demonseed Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Hey After writing this I found gigs pc setup and I will give it a go. I had wii but did not like it very much as there was not many games I liked that supported a regular pad so I canned it. The hard drive spinning thing I will look into. I have thought about solid state drive but my setup is too big ;(. I think my big complaint is finishing off the videos I am missing... Seems I have gotten all I can.
SIMPLYAUSTIN Posted October 2, 2015 Posted October 2, 2015 The SSD is only for your HyperSPin build. You keep your roms etc on a HDD. for the Wii, you simulate a Wiimote on the Pad. But if you wanted you can also use WiiMotes. Movies... well that there are some other sources out there

demonseed Posted October 2, 2015 Author Posted October 2, 2015 Yes thanks guys but wii is out not a fan of it. I like my standard gamepads. I will work on pc games. Can not think of any other consoles. Maybe a way to run dc games that do not work in null dc? I thought there was a way?
