rastan Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 I get this: there was an error waiting for the window "ahk class MYWIN" error whenever I try to launch Sonic Championship in Sega Model 2 Emulator Other Model 2 games launch fine in Hyperspin/RL, the problem seems to be with Sonic Championship.,.. and I can run the game outside of Hyperspin/RL fine. maybe I need to change a setting for Sonic to launch properly? seems weird as the other games launch with no problems.
rastan Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 Apparently Sonic Championship doesn't work after all... sonic fighters seems to work (guess I confused the two in the emulator) gonna replace the bad rom and see what happens.
rastan Posted November 21, 2015 Author Posted November 21, 2015 I didn't know they were the same game... they just called it Sonic Championship in the US (Sonic Fighters) so I just renamed schamp.zip to sfight.zip and the art work for sfight loads up (just had to rename the video to sfight.mp4) launches fine now. for some odd reason there was no sfight.zip in my model 2 rom folder but it still loaded it from the emulator (outside of HS) the schamp.zip didn't work in the model 2 emulator. who the heck knows what was going on but the problem is solved... all that and the game doesn't even seem that great lol..
Yeuxkes Posted November 21, 2015 Posted November 21, 2015 "Sonic Championship" is the master rom and "Sonic the Fighters" is the Japanese clone version of the same game. I have both roms and they are working fine either under MAME and Modeler2. So to me it seems like you have a faulty rom somewhere. CRC-32 & filesizes sfight = 70a729bb - 580kb schamp = 75e94757 - 16.9Mb I hope this solves the problem for you.
