Matze_Edend
Working on making matching cabinets for myself and my brother-in-law. He's doing hardware while I work software. Since I'm still new at this I wanted to ask if RocketLauncher was absolutely necessary. I'm grateful for the step-by-step guides, but in the interests of the KISS (Keep it Simple, Stupid, not the band) school of thought I was wondering if there was a practical way of skipping this step. If not, I'll manage.
rastan
I don't know from what I gather RL picked up where HL left off or something like that... they seem like the same but I guess RL is still being supported/worked on... I just went with RL because they said it's what I should have. I'll let the pro's tell you the real story but I say go with RL....
SubZero
No rocketlauncher isn't necesserry. to let HS launch emulators, it's a standalone software. i use Hyperlaunch myself for my fades and on screen information. and its setup within 10 minutes. pm me tomorrow. i need to get some sleep first

anakin257
It definitely isn't "necessary" but does it make life easier? I would say yes. In addition, as the community expands, you get tutorials that make life infinitely easier. I used the tutorials on Simply Austin's channel (YouTube). That said, getting admin to help you out is a pretty great offer!
