gamehendge
Hello Everyone, This is my first time posting on this forum and I need some help serious help! I am pretty much a nub when it comes to this kind of stuff so please bear with me. I built my mame HyperSpin cabinet about a year ago. I mostly am the one playing so when I was testing everything was great (never really tested with two players). Anyway, We had a large party this Thanksgiving and everyone wanted to play. When two people were playing the game would work for about 20 seconds then it would just go away?? It was still running in the background and you couldn't open another game from that system. I would have to exit out of HyperSpin and close the emulator, and go back in and restart HyperSpin. This happened about 20 times! it was really a big drag. When I play one player everything works fine. If anyone out there experienced this with their game please help! FYI- I am only using nintendo, sega, and super nintendo. Thanks, Gamehendge
gamehendge
Can you explain button conflict? I made sure that the shift, enter, and esc keys were out of the way and not used as primary buttons (I do use the control key pretty regularly, maybe that is it). I am using and Mini-pac by Ultimarc to interface to the PC. I was thinking the same thing... Like the key strokes were causing it. Is their a keyboard shortcut that would cause this to happen? gamehendge
Agent 47, YES!!! I am really not to learned on the hot key stuff, but that is exactly what is happening, and it doesn't matter what system i'm in which leads me to believe it was inside of HyperSpin somewhere. I will look into the exit key script (is that a windows thing or a Hyperspin thing??) Is the q&s keys for hyper spin as well? I am not familiar with RocketLauncher. Thank you guys so much! We are having another party in a few days and the arcade has to have better outing this time!
gamehendge
Thanks for the help. I have some time today to look into what the exit key script is. I have been out of the HyperSpin loop for quite some time, and I see that Rocket Launcher basically replaced Hyper Launch in the new version. gamehendge
Hey Everyone, I trouble shoot my "Exit Script" issue, and it appears that the "S" key on my version of HyperSpin-Hyperlaunch was causing the game to exit the emulator phase. Moved some keys around and everything is operating as it should! Thanks again to those who replied to my SOS call. -Gamehendge
Metalzoic
it appears that the "S" key on my version of HyperSpin-Hyperlaunch was causing the game to exit the emulator phase. On your version? Do you mean you had set the S key to exit and didn't realize it?
gamehendge
Yes, I have the last version with Hyperlaunch and the "S" key was exiting the emulators. I don't think I set it up that way??? Everything is operating perfectly now that I took that key off my buttons and joystick.
