setting a default genre

is it possible to set a default genre? For example I want to have action games selected when entering in mame instead of All Games. thanks

Nope

 

Sure it's possible. First split up your current database in separate genres with Don's Hypertools. Then you could take the Action games.xml or whatever the genre is called that you want and rename it to mame.xml 

Rename the mame.xml to all games.xml and you can access everything when you press the genre button in HS.

 

I would suggest before you do this that you first backup your existing database tho.
