Amiga WHDLoad Roms

I've updated the WHDLoad pack of games and demos to version 2.5 for use with emulators or real amigas here: http://eab.abime.net/showthread.php?t=68704

 

I've previously made a rom pack out of the 2.3 package for use with Hyperspin/RocketLauncher (WinUAE) so I figured I'd update that pack with a new database as well.

 

These games have been publicly available for quite some time over at the English Amiga Board and the policy there has always been to remove things when the copyright holder complains, so its pretty safe to grab.

The rom names though, do they match the official art/db?

Do you have the art for this as well? Correctly named and stuff i mean.

 

The pack i had before had a lot of version numbers and crap in the filenames.

Not as far as I know. The last I heard (over a year ago) was that they were working on a new official XML for it, but I have no idea on the progress on that.

 

And yeah, the official XML right now (well, when I last looked) had versions and crap in the rom names, which is useless since the WHDLoad games are updated quite often. You don't want to edit your XML and rename all the media just because there is a new romversion for a game, thats why my set has no versions in them.

 

As far as I can tell, HyperSync finds most of them anyway =) I got 1581 videos from HyperSync which I think is most of the available videos.

That is only for the games though. Nothing exists for the demos as far as I know.
