You are using keymapper support but are not up to date with joytokey or cannot find joy to key.ini

Please make sure you are running joytokey v5.1.0 or later

Theres another message before it but i cant read that fast.

I can launch the emulator from RL but launching a game from RL gives the messge above

I get this same stupid message and I can't figure out why. Is Rocket Launch not compatible with Joy2Key's newest version?

I do not have a JoyToKey.ini file, never had one, J2K doesn't seem to ever generate one either.

Any one have any ideas what might be going on?

I am not on the latest version (5.7 here) but there is an ini... Windows hides known extensions so it just says "configuration settings" under type. If you gave RL the right path to jtk it should find it.

Just out of curiousity, did you follow my tutorial?

Can I plug Simply Austin's videos here... (ahem... http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLe424g_m2Z-GtVToTka6Mv88W51D2Hrjw) . They have been unbelievably helpful for me, and even though I run into (quite) a few issues, they are much easier to solve after getting the basics explained (yes... Follow the whole video. He will say he "waffles" a lot, but the waffling is both entertaining and helpful.

And guys like Spawk and Brolly are SUPER helpful, and love the tutorials, I have just found them much easier to follow after being talked and shown through it. So big thanks to them (and anybody else I've missed, I'm still new!)

I figured it out.

You need to run JoyToKey first, enter the preferences, change a setting, then change it back, then click File>Exit.

At that point, JoyToKey will Finally create the INI file, thus removing the error.

Thanks for the reply.
