So, I've set up WinAPE and have my GX4000 roms all ready.

I can load them, no issues, but i get to a blue screen saying READY which I have no idea how to get past.

I'm sure that i'm missing a config somewhere or I need to type a command but I can't find anywhere what this should be!!

The RL module also gets me to the same place, so must be doing something wrong...

Anyone able to give me a hand?

Thanks :)

Try using Mame. Mine works perfectly fine with Mame. i switched after having issues with WinApe as well. I have to tell you, he games on this system are some of the worst I've ever seen.

Awesome - thanks - didn't realise Mame could do these...

Do I need any of the bios ROM images that WinApe needs or does Mame cover those?

EDIT: I seem to be able to get some games to run with nothing, but a couple are not loading... i'm guessing the emulation is not perfect here

Hmm, maybe I should try mame... was actually thinking about removing this system from my HS...because I never had it and a lot of the games seem like they were on C64 and they kinda suck but do have good memories of back in the days.

Yeah, unfortunately there are a few that don't run. Isn't that the case with every emulator? If you get WinApe to run, please give us the steps.

I think they all run under WinApe if you can get the darn thing to work. There are definitely a few that are fickle or require extra steps tho.

I've given up - Mame'll do me ;)

i was using a older version of mess to run it... never really liked it but I'm using the latest version of MAME and for some reason it seems to run better... still not that impressed with the system but I think I'll keep it around... was playing some game that I think was on C64 (can't remember the name at the moment) but I was really getting into the game... that's the one thing I'll give any system that has old graphics (that seem really DATED) if a game play is good you'll really get into the game because it damn sure ain't the graphics that got you glued.

I remember having like 300+ Wii games on my HD when I got into soft-modding my Wii.... man half those games sucked but the graphics were ok so I said I'll keep them... ask me how many Wii games I have now LOL!!!!

Ha tell me about the Wii... I still have a pile of my discs in the loft, but only 3or4 ready to go into my cab.

To be fair, there were some hidden gems, but most of those required a Wiimote and I'm keeping my cab strictly controller
