Some games, need to have a disk to eather play music in game or even just run. How do I add a game to PCLauncher module so it will also mount a disk whenever I play it?
KlopjerO Posted February 10, 2016 Posted February 10, 2016 you need software that can rip your disc to an image.. preferrable something like an IMG .that also stores audio tracs.. next you get daemon tools so you can mount this IMG like a disc in windows now that you have done that ..you should install the game from the disc image that your mounted using daemon tools, so that the game knows where it should search for the disc. now judging on your earlier posts I assume that some of these discs will run in XP mode.. Rocketlauncher will not know XP mode and will not detect any disc for that, so you'd need to lookup the syntax for mounting the discs using the command line and batch the mounting and launching process through CMD. now some discs will have nasty copy protection measures in place and it will reject the disc images that you are using.. in that case you should go to here http://bfy.tw/4BWf and click on the top hit (gamecopyworld) and search for your game ..chances are you will find a no-cd patch .. For example, I got this game XXX and it needs a disk to be mounted to run. Something that can't be sorted out by NOCD patch (for example audio CD music). Nothing related to my previous posts.
Niewidomy Posted February 10, 2016 Author Posted February 10, 2016 in the Rom Settings for PCLauncher there's a DiscImage variable where you can enter the path to your disc image and that's supposedly used for cd checks and stuff. Not sure if it actually mounts the image or not (I've never used it) so that may or may not do it. Otherwise, you would probably just have to write a script to mount the image and set that script as the PreLaunch variable in the Rom Settings for the game. I'm such a retard lol.
