Need help setting up controls

I am needing a little help getting my controller setting from RL working when i launch hyperspin. I am using joy2key. Now if i just open joy2key and map out my controls i can make it work perfect for hyperspin, and two pc games i have that hyperspin launches. I just made joy2key do the .exe association and switch profiles automatically and it was working out great. Well i added another emulator, nulldc to be exact and for whatever reason it would not switch from the hyperspin profile to the nulldc one when i launched a game through hyperspin. So i figured i needed to probably delete my joy2key profiles and set all my profiles up through Rocket launcher (figured that was the proper way to do this). So i did that, and i have joy2key enabled in RL and everything is keyed correctly. But when i launch hyperspin i have no control with my arcade stick, its like it isnt even starting joy2key for me. Any idea's what i may be doing wrong? Thanks

Also if i launch a game from RL, all the keys will work for it. So its loading the profile i made in RL. So must be something simple im doing wrong. Thanks

I don't use j2k myself so I can't really help but if you haven't seen this already, here's a tutorial for setting up joy2key with RL and HS. Spawk may come swooping in and be able to lend some advice also.

Thank you for that link, it helped me get it working. I needed to make like a base profile in joy2key outside of RL to get it working. So that is great i appreciate it. Im now having a very minor new problem. I have two pc games, dragons lair 1&2 remastered and they both use the spacebar for one of the action buttons. Well i set it up for them in RL and for some weird reason all the other buttons are working perfectly but the spacebar key i mapped does not. If i press spacebar on my keyboard it works so i cant figure whats going on with that. I tried mapping another key that was working to spacebar and it stopped working all together so it is only when i map spacebar that it doesnt repond. And for these two games i cant change which key does what inside the game so it messes it up. Any idea?

Yeah, when you first launch HS, RL isn't loaded to be able to load the correct profile. RL only loads when you choose a game. Put the path to jtk in HSHQ under startup/shutdown.

Sounds strange. Unfortunately I am at work and can't even check mine. Space bar should work fine though.

I am not familiar with these remasters either, there may not be key configs in the game itself, but any chance there is a cfg or ini file in the base folder that has key configuration in it?

It is weird, i just setup those two games in the regular joy2key without going through RL and it works fine now. So seems everything is working as it should. Thanks again for all the help.
