Im really trying to understand Hypermarquee.

Ive been a big fan of the Forums for a long time and have usually found a fix for my issue by using search. I've gotten the New Hyperspin installed and I feel I have a decent understanding of it.. enough that it works. I purchased a great monitor a 25 inch 21:9 inch monitor from LG to be used as a Digital marquee. I followed the instructions for installing the Hypermarquee I upgraded to the newest Version 4.11. I installed EDS and and after some initial confusion I was able to get the hypermarquee software to work using the Test button. IT changes to different MAME marquees as I chose games from within EDS. As of now. I cannot get Hyperspin to work with it. I set it up per the quickstart. I renamed the file to LEDBLINKY.exe and enabled the checkbox in Hyperspin. I get no Marquee.  The bigger issue I'm having is i  regards to transitions. I tried using the test for transitions on the Transition tab.. but the little logo doesn't Change. I assume its suppose to demo whatever option Ive selected. But it never changes. I want to make sure I haven't missed anything. If someone could point me in the right direction Id greatly appreciate it. 

 

One last thing. Im usually pretty good at reading user manuals and figuring stuff out..The manual that was downloaded was for some version that was really old  and it didn't help much. Is there a newer manual? I thought I'd ask.

Best if you post in their dedicated section, in the Support Topics- HyperMarquee or EDS section above where you post. Those guys don't get out much, but are quick to answer though. Just have to knock on the right door.

 

BTW, congrats on your purchase. I'm jealous.

Thx for your for responding wesfranks. The one weakpoint in this forum is finding things. Im headed to the support area. BTW the prices of Ultra wide screens is dropping a lot..

I just setup Hypermarquee recently and yeah, it's not super intuitive.  Read the entire manual and you'll gain an understanding of what's under the hood.  Trust me, reading the manual is easier than finding tutorials on it.
