yoursdirect
Hi I have a 42 LCD tv waiting to be used in a new cab. Will this do a good enough job or is it really worth investing in an led? Seems a lot of money to so end when I have this good tv already, but then before I spend hours on the cabinet I want to make sure I will be happy with the result. Also is 42 a good size or would 46 give much improved results, it seems most of you go for 46 now? I also have a 32 lcd for the back box, i Again is it worth the money for a new led? Carny_Priest
You can always throw money at a problem, but I'm a big believer in recycling. You can certainly test it without placing in a cab. If it plays acceptably then go with it. If it doesn't play acceptably then you spend the money.
Gilrock
If you can try to hook up the TV's to a PC and see how you like the look before building a cabinet custom fitted to those TV's. The TV size is going to be your preference. I chose a 40" TV because that was the closest size to fit a standard cabinet. I could have picked anything I wanted at the time because I started from scratch. I avoided the 46" size because I remember not liking playing machines that were wide...it always felt like I was hugging a volkswagon. Standard size cabs just feel more comfortable to me and the more you stretch the tables the worse they are going to look.
yoursdirect
Thanks for the comments guys, I think 42 size wise will be perfect for me. Does LEDmake a massive diffrence, i know they are brighter? but i guess with the brightness ect tweeked on the LCD you can get good results still.
