MegaNiklas Posted April 10, 2016 Posted April 10, 2016 Hi all! I'm very new to the forum, though not so new to HyperSpin. I've set up a pretty decent system with HS 1.4 and RocketLauncher containing the classics of Genesis, NES, SNES and Master system. All is working fine with the funcionallity, media, bezels and so on but i've got one problem I've yet to solve. When I start up HyperSpin and select a game, the emulator (only using RetroArch at the moment) starts it fine and i can enojoy the game. But when I want to choose a different game i have to press "F1" to get the RetroArch menu up and then go down to "Exit RetroArch" and press select. How do i configure my 360 controller so I'm able to exit out of a game straight back to HyperSpin so I can select a new game? Been searching the net quite a bit but cannot find a solution for this. Got a feeling It's really simple, but cant figure it out. Anyone got any ideas? Kind regards, Niklas
MegaNiklas Posted April 11, 2016 Author Posted April 11, 2016 What you want to do is configure your Exit Emulator Key in RocketLauncherUI. To do so, open RLUI and select Global from the System List, select the Settings -> Main Settings tab, and click the keyboard key next to the Exit Emulator Key. Then you can set a new key to use to exit the emulators. Thanks for the reply! I will test this out tonight after work! Hopefully I can figure out how to use the 360 controller for it aswell!
SkyHighGam3r Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Escape key seems to be the default exit for me. It's been so long I'm not sure if I set that up or it came that way...I setup Xpadder so that when I hold select and push start it thinks I push escape.I actually made lots of combos like that around RetroArch.Select+Y = F1 for RA menuSelect+L1 = F2 for Save StateSelect+R2 = F4 for Load Stateetc etc.

If your running Windows 7, you can use this to configure the xbox guide button to act as your escape key. I never have gotten this to work on Windows 8 or 10 though. https://www.reddit.com/r/emulation/comments/1goval/any_way_to_map_the_middle_xbox_360_button/camujj7
trebukenz Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 I believe you can use AntiMicro keyboard mapper along with Xpadder. Use AntiMicro just for the Xbox button. I am working toward that. I had it working with AntiMicro on my last setup, but not along with Xpadder.
