Avar Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Are you running HS 1.4 and do you have extensions visible in Windows?
kb7875 Posted April 18, 2016 Author Posted April 18, 2016 hello thanks for ur reply and i updated the 1.3 version to 1.4 and what do u mean by extension im fairly tech minded but hyperspin has me everytime lol
Avar Posted April 18, 2016 Posted April 18, 2016 Is your Windows setup to show file extensions? Ie. when you look at a text file in Windows Explorer do you see "<Filename>" or "<Filename>.exe" If extensions are hidden and you changed the name from "Global Emulators (Example)" to "Global Emulators.ini" Windows will see "Global Emulators.ini.ini"
kb7875 Posted April 20, 2016 Author Posted April 20, 2016 i checked all them and have taken some pics can u check to see if they have the right files in and have u any idea what else could it be tried to install same download onto pc and it does the same if thats any help
Avar Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 Looks normal to me. You could try re-downloading RocketLauncher. If this is a fresh installation the extra ini files in there seem a bit off however. Is this a brand new install? If all else fails, if you follow this ver batum it'll give us a standard methodology with which to analyze the problem. I suspect it's something simple.
gamer77 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 so in regard to the global emulators list mine wont show either and hyperspin wont run now the ini.ini comes up and am not knowing if the windows file extension should be enabled or to just erase example and it automatically puts in the ini as ini file ??? please advise as well I need a solution to get hyperspin to launch and HQ comes up but has glitches in front screen all squiggly and obviously not working properly any help would.
32assassin Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 You are better of Hidding your known extensions. you should install NotePad++ and https://notepad-plus-plus.org/ associate the INI files to ( open INI with) NotePadd++ when you double click on a INI file it will be opened with NotePad++ now if you are still having a hard time displaying your global emulators Open RocketlauncherUI -Manually add 1 emulator and close RocketlauncherUI this will create a bran new Global Emulators.ini in your Rocketlauncher folder C:\RocketLauncher\Settings\Global Emulators.ini You can drag and drop the default one and see it it overrides it *if it docent you have other issues default Global emulators INI (MAKE SURE TO EXTRACT I could not upload an unzipped ini flie)
gamer77 Posted April 21, 2016 Posted April 21, 2016 thank u soo much for the tutorial simply Austin is good but I found a lot of variances that worked for me better from your tutorial also global emulators .ini is actually usable as just global emulators IF your windows exclusions are on they auto add INI so that's just what I found hope it helps others happy gaming this guy is finally at the download roms and other systems emulators phase ciao!! Again Thanx
