sega cd's and mame

Hi everyone, 

 

 

So i have a question about the sega cd's.

Since all the roms i have come in: Gametitle.iso + Gametitles CD01 - 35.mp3 (so thats 35 mp3 files)

 

How the hell do i load this into mame ?

i have also tried fusion, but every time i try to load up a game it tells me to go and configure some stuff in the bios...?

Ok never mind, i found out i had to replace the bios files. So this is working!

Can i throw away all the mp3 files?

Since only the iso file is read... ?

and if i have to keep them.. do i have to rename them all to the hyperspin xml name?

the MP3s are required do not delete them and you do not have to rename them

all you need to do is rename the ISO file.

 

but in more interesting news.

 

why don't you upgrade your set.

your files that consist of ISO+ MP3s where probably made on a computer that was running windows 95 or windows 98.

that is such an outdated format, Your files where original ripped to ISO+Wave files.  The wave files where converted to MP3 to save space.

 

 

You should look for Bin/Cue format set,  as some emulators will load the Bin directly (no need for a virtual drive).
