Milky Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Due to the fact that I can't get Hyperspin to cycle the wheel with my U360 I have been experimenting with JoyToKey and Xpadder so that I can use my joystick to navigate. Either of these work beautifully for allowing the joystick to get through the wheel. However, both of them cause an issue when it comes to my buttons on the CP. Specifically both JtK and X seem to bind the buttons to have multiple functions For example, my P1B1 button is set up to launch the selected game, which it does properly. The issue is that the P1B1 also causes the HS wheel to go up by one. While not a terrible issue in and of itself, it causes video of the game to begin playing in the background of the launched game. I am using an Ipac4 to set the key binds to the buttons and figured that there was an issue between the interaction of JtK/X and the Ipac. However, I have unplugged the Ipac from the computer and tried using JtK/X using the joystick and simply the keyboard with the same effect. Is there something I'm doing wrong in HS that would be causing this issue? I have gone through HyperHQ and set all of the buttons to their proper setting as far as I can tell and see no reason why the button would have multiple settings. Is there something I can do in JtK/X in order the fix the issue? The multiple commands only happen when one of those is running and is independent of the Ipac. Thank you for any help that can be offered.
Spawk Posted May 9, 2016 Posted May 9, 2016 Hi Milky, I hope you only set keyboard commands in hyperhq as the joystick/spinner/trackball do not function quite right in hq. Personally, I use JTK but it can be a bitch to initially setup correctly. Did you by any chance see my tutorial? Properly incorporated into rocketlauncher will ensure only one profile will ever be loaded at any one time. Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk
Milky Posted May 10, 2016 Author Posted May 10, 2016 I have tried using only keyboard commands to control hyperspin and those work reasonably well. In fact my fix for now is to use the 3rd player joystick to control the wheel and that works just fine. The big issue that has me concerned is that it's looking like I'll have to use JtK or something anyway in order to set up controls for Retroarch cores. That being the case I'm really trying hard to figure out what is going wrong with the double button bind. As far as your tutorial, I'm not sure I've seen it. If you have a link I'd be more than happy to check it out! Thank you in advance!
