MadDoc Posted May 21, 2016 Posted May 21, 2016 I'm at my wits end. I had HyperSpin running in a home made cabinet running Windows 10 perfectly. Everything worked. I installed Steam and restarted. Now HyperSpin won't launch. I uninstalled Steam and still Hyperspin doesn't work. I get a spinning blue circle amd then nothing. Task manager shows HyperSpin process is running. If I click the HyperSpin icon again, another process appears in task manager but nothing launches. I have no idea what has happened. I'm assuming Steam busted something but perhaps it's something else??
MasterControl Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 I had the same problem and indeed Windows Defender was the culprit. I added an exception for the whole HyperSpin folder and boom, worked like a charm.
Metalzoic Posted May 27, 2016 Posted May 27, 2016 It's been a week. Did the original poster really never come back? Do you think he's out there, somewhere, raging at the world and kicking cats screaming at the sky "WHY GOD WHY!?!" when all he had to do was return to his topic and see that he had been answered within 8 minutes by Agent? Or maybe after he made this he got the answer from all the other topics about the same issue? Or worse, maybe he did come back and get his answer, but then didn't bother to post to say thanks...
epetti Posted May 28, 2016 Posted May 28, 2016 Thanks guys. I had the exact same problem and came here to ask the question. Found the answer immediately. Windows 7 but same issue. My kids were playing the arcade while I was at work. I came home to find it broken, figured it was something they did. No, just Microsoft.
Boldog Posted June 3, 2016 Posted June 3, 2016 thanks for the help hate when it's so simple yet I get stuck
