Video not showing up

When I watched an introduction to Hypertheme video on youtube, the video played whilst being dragged about in Hypertheme (sound to).

When I, insert a mame flv video, there is no picture, just the sound as it loops.

This makes the process of overlay placement problematic and not really worth the extra effort.

I can make a passable theme (for those roms that are missing one) but it is too time consuming trying to guess the video/overlay when I have so many to do.

 

Any ideas appreciated.

 

Do the flv videos have to have certain properties to run, resolution, etc.

I have been converting videos in Ultimate Video Converter, from MP4 to FLV, for placement inside HyperTheme, the MP4 plays inside HS when the theme is finished and inside the correct media folder, just not insde HT.

Solved, I am using Ultimate Video Converter to convert HS media videos from MP4 to FLV. In the settings, I had been converting using H264 encoder, changed it to flv encoder, works now.
