GregoryHouseMD
Hello people. I have the following question: when I download an XML file by the HyperList or a "DATABASE" (which is also an XML file) in the forum, the XMLs come without HASHes/CRC of files. How do I check the games by the XMLs in programs as RomCenter or ClrMamePro? I have seen several torrents called "HyperSpin Ready", which are the games/files described in these XMLs, but how they are verified without their CRCs? 32assassin
the XMLs are not Dat files to be used in Romcenter or ClrMAMEpro Some XMls don't have crcs, such as every single disc base system. a Sega Dreamcast Hyperspin Ready Pack can consist of a s multiple formats. Hyperspin Ready set simply means that all the roms listed in the XML are present and renamed to match the names found in the XML. the main point to a Hyperspin Ready pack is that you download all the roms listed in the XML and you don't need to rename anything to match the Hyperspin naming scheme. its simply a plug and play pack. GregoryHouseMD
But check only by the name has no logic. All roms management depends of the file hash. If I have one set of a system, how can I rename it in accordance with the XML HyperSpin? This is not possible, I need the file hash to be able to identify it and then rename. GregoryHouseMD
How it works the "fuzzy matching"? What is the difference between HyperList XMLs and Official Database XMLs found in the downloads section of the forum?
